@@Xpect1337 interesting it's really interesting, can you post here link to anny article about it, it could be even in Russian cause we have Google translate :-) it would be niece if it have pictures of it?
@@Xpect1337 All in all, it's not even surprising that Russian scientists invented such an invention, probably American scientists also probably worked on a similar gadget, but probably in both cases the target users would be gentlemen in suits with diplomatic passports employed in the CIA / KGB :-)
the word used in the lyrics simply means map-case, or maybe a clipboard. so, the star maps are inserted into map-cases/affixed to the clipboards. recently the word came to mean a tablet computer, hence the mistranslation. far from prophetic, the line is actually kinda quaint, in a good way (like those futuristic postcards from around the turn of the century depicting people wearing the fashion of the day in the 2000's.) the "Soviet mobile" is the LK-1, built by one Leonid Kupriyanovich. It wasn't a cellphone proper, more like a long-range radio telephone, i.e. two-way radio with a portable set and a base station that could dial into the phone network.
They were very music enthusiasts. Arguably some works are the among the best of the world, especially when it comes to anthems. The national anthem is incredibly passionate, many agree that it's one of the most beautiful national anthems there are, even if their political stance doesn't match.
If I recall, some scientists suggested we should get our resources on comets, asteroids and meteors, and that it would pretty much reduce the amount of wars fought on Earth
@@LeonardoFerreira-fp8jx I'm not so sure, probably enough objects up there, besides, if I recall space is treated like International water, nobody "owns" it
This is such a beautiful song, and it gives me nostalgia for my space travel obsession growing up, a wanderlust for future human travel, and a hope that we may finally reach other stars by sheer human curiosity and determination (and not for the private interests of CEOs and profiteers). It is for this reason that Yuri Gagarin is up on my wall, surrounded by the words; "to the Soviet people who pioneer the cosmos, glory!", proudly holding high the hammer and sickle.
Leaving ideologies to the side. It really is a powerful song and it fits just the level of achievement that it was putting a man in space for the first time. We started as caveman and we ended up breaking the barrier to the stars. It's really amazing what we've been able to achieve.
Not leaving ideologies to the side, you're right. Collective coordination of the human race has the potential to achieve the impossible. Infer what you may from this
We are yet to achieve big things. Before that, though, international relations need to be normalized and only get better and better. Because, fear of conflict will forever haunt us like a snake; among many other things. After that, we are to normalize global clinate and revolutionize the thinking of people's around the world. We don't need to wait to do all of that, we only need ambition to do it which would be present worldwide and stick inside the minds of bilions of people - just like we have managed to stick many other things inside. People need to look forward and be able to do so. Only this path can lead us to a peaceful arrival of our great presence on other objects in our own system, after which; if the human developement goes beyond what we have ever known and beyond we thought it can; we can explore and colonize many others stars and their respective systems. It's a game which would never end, and which would be in favour of longetivity which needs to be present in a long history that is yet to come.
Here is a quote the man him self Yuri Gagarin “I see Earth! It is so beautiful.” and here's one from the lady her self Valentina Tereshkova Once you've been in space, you appreciate how small and fragile the Earth is.
Hello to all! I'm Russian, and I want to clarify. Firstly, this is not the hymn of the Soviet space program. The anthem of the Russian space program since 2009 is a completely different song. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grass_by_the_Home. Before - no any anthem for space program. Secondly, to call a hymn a song only because it is sincere close and popular to people - is wrong. Otherwise, we'll have to name the song "Was wollen wir trinken" anthem of the tableful Thirdly, the song in the video is really an incredibly popular song. This song absorbed all the dreams and hopes of Soviet people about future. But at the same time it is not attached to the nation, it's really a song of Earthlings, not Russians or Americans. Such a sense of self, really characteristic of Soviet culture - the feeling of being citizens of the whole world.

In find soviet era music very inspiring, motivational, and somewhat romantic. Too bad USSR is gone, and they no longer produce this type of music anymore ;(
The Soviets were isolationist and controlling over their citizens but they did have a vision, unlike the post-soviet states that now fight arbitrary wars with no clear long term goal that people can get behind. As such i don't think we will see hopeful music like this come out anymore
@@cloroxbleach9222 I sadly confirm your comment :( I wish our Soviet Union wouldn't have controlled and isolated the citizens as they did, but now it's a mistake that cannot be repaired... In the end, at least we are able to remember it as a way of learning for the future.
@@Yamuimosannn USSR was a contradictory society. On the one hand the bureaucracy was extremely parasitic, on the other hand the abolition of capitalist accumulation allowed for decades of human progress and life improvement that wasn‘t possible before or since. Even under Stalin, arguably the least pleasant time to live in the USSR, average life expectancy doubled. The Soviet Union failed because of the isolation and devastation it suffered during its foundational period. Due to the world market, socialism in on country is not possible. Long-term success would have required successful revolutions in leading imperialist countries, especially Germany. But those never succeeded due to the mistakes of the leadership.
I love that they didn't sing about any political stuff such as going before Americans to Mars or anything, it's just like if the song was made for everyone
More than 60 years ago, Soviets and Americans started a race, which was one of the bright sides of Cold War. Technology developed is and will be very useful to humanity in future. btw there is a shocking lack of 60. anniversary comments, i expected it to blow up here
@@unitedtoys857 And they have not really grown wiser over the years: Xi Jinping pledging end to coal-fired power few days ago at UN address, few days earlier US/Australia announce Aukus to make sure that Australian coal frenzy is not interrupted by 'climate crazies'. #AxisOfEvil
Just because the Americans were more desperate to land someone on the moon, because the Soviets were winning the war doesn't mean it was something that could solely win the space race for them, the soviet did so much more innovative and riskier missions that that, not only a few.
Manly Gary Yes yes, but it resulted in death, failure, and destruction. If they had continued putting people into space, the accidents had to have made public hearing. And also the fact that both nations had to use _German_ rockets to get their own ideas is kind of shitty, yes?
I think people give the Germans too much credit. Sure, they had better rocketry tech at the end of WWII, but even without them both the USA and USSR would have done the same thing in a more time. Most of the innovations were done by American and Soviet scientists.
Dr. Merkwürdigliebe Well, the USSR was also the first on the moon with Luna II, and first on Mars, Venus and some other planets. We also were the first to take a photo of most of the planets in our solar system with satelites. Also first to photo the dark side of the moon, which is a big deal. Also, we were the first to spacedock and even spacewalk. We won the spacerace.
No matter which flag they salute, I admire the spirit of those who have broadened the boundary of human civilization. Space pioneers are the heores of all mankind.
@@rivertwygzbed543 I'd argue it's even worse, since there were at least a dozen SSRs besides Russia while Britain comprises England, Wales and Scotland.
What a simple and beautiful song. This song makes me nostalgic for a time that could have been. Feel like what they are singing about is so so close and yet so far. Makes me want for a future where this song would be reality.
Not many know that, but tablets was just a soviet secret space invention for tracking orbital trajectory. actually os android for this tablets which developed in Sverdlovsk politech university in those days had a name ИМПУЛЬС and after this unsuccessfully was used for orbital station Mir. Because of that and also unstable economics in country after su fall technology was selled.
@@tophatv2902 Yikes, world peace, abolition of sexism, racism, and bias, a compassionate population of problem solving individuals, and a wonderful opportunity to explore new worlds and perhaps civilizations? Sounds terrible.
I'm here for the 100th anniversary of the 'moon race', I believe the Soviet Union won the 'space race'. First satellite in space, first living organism in space with Laika the dog and the first man/woman in space too. Firm winners of the space race, this anthem is one of the best and the lyrics indicate such strength and determination. Love the posters too and I've bought a t-shirt with the cosmonaut program on, love it all well done to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics!
Fist satellite, first animal in space, first man in space, first woman in space, first probe on venus, first probe on mars, first probe on the moon, first probe on the far side of the moon These deeds are all soviet. They won the race, and they just lost the moon landing race because their most important scientist on the subject died early.
Tovarășul Lenin but the USSR doesn't exist anymore so you can't credit the soviets for this, I think this is why people say America won the space race, though I am very anti- communist I have to give credit to the soviets.
Not many old videos can bring a tear to my eye, but this dose it. I’m honestly wishing they the USSR was still around, but less radical and evil. They have great music and something about Russia is magical. Great video and thanks for bringing this to RU-vid. The song is so impactful in many ways. These great men were the pioneers into a new world of exploration.
СССР никогда не был злым, это пропаганда капиталистов. Я бы предпочёл дальше жить в СССР. Не нужна мне такая свобода, да и её нет нигде, свобода - это обман.
I just wanted to write something funny about the dangers of space and extra thick Uschankas, but then the lonyness and coldness of space came to my mind and the grief of the world tumbled down on me and I became aware of the hopelessness of our little blue rock in the rternal nothingness.

Lyrics (As provided by the video): Space maps downloaded into tablets And the navigator specifies the route for the last time Come on, guys Sing before the start We still have fourteen minutes Refrain: I believe, friends, Caravans of Rockets Will rush forward from star to star On the dusty paths, the distant planets Remains our tracks On the dusty paths, the distant planets Remains our tracks Someday with the years, I remember with my friends As on the roads of the stars, we were the first way, As the first to manage, reach the cherished goal, And to my native land, from the side to look Refrain For a long time we are expected, the distant planets, The cold planets Silent fields But not a single planet, do not wait for us like this, The planet is expansive, by the name of the Earth Refrain (Instrumental) Refrain
I really want to find an instrumental version of this specific version, it just has that quality that makes you want to hear the instruments on their own, you know?
Man, experiencing the space race growing up must've been awesome Shame it ended, and even more of a shame that something like it will probably never happen again
