I never got to meet Anthony Burger the internationally known pianist,but it was my privilege and my honor to know Anthony Burger the precious,precocious 3 year old with the angelic smile and the infectious giggle.I went to work for his parents in the piano shop when he was 3.Sometimes if the store was really busy his mom would ask me to take him around the corner for lunch and sometimes she'd ask me to help him in the bathroom..seems he hadn't quite mastered the use of t.p. How time does fly...
What a talent! 5 stars are not enough. Anthony & Legacy 5 performed at our church. Terrific! I was shocked when Anthony announced he was going for tests to see if he had cancer. I have no doubts Anthony is now playing for the angels and Jesus.
Those runs he does are beyond awesome, I don't know how many times I have come back to this video. Anthony Burger will always be my favorite when it comes to playing the piano. God blessed those burnt hands for sure. No wonder he could play the fire out of a piano.

Anthony is with our Lord, but he prepared his replacement. This young man was 12 when I first heard him - he is 15-16 now. Anthony Burger influenced this young man and even produced his "Great Is the Lord" album. i am talking about Carson Wagner. Anthony endorsed Carson wrote on the album "Carson Wagner is going to have a great future . . . and I am so glad I was there to give a hand." Thanks, Anthony, for blessing us with your music.
I remember seeing him with the Gathers and friends a few years back. Wow, what a show. Hard to believe so many talented singers and musicians are gone now. But they are celebrating up in heaven.
He is totally incredible! I was so sad to read he had passed away, I think it said in 2006! At least now he is with the Heavenly Father, and playing for all the Angels there. I'm sure God has a front row seat to everything he plays!
Anothy is the best. He died on one of Gaither's cruises he had a massive heart attack. He was playing his beutifull music and stopped, the audience noticed something was wrong. They worked on him for 45 mins and he was gone. He now is with our Lord.playing for the Lord and the Angels
Anthony died suddenly during a piano performance, on Wednesday evening, February 22 aboard a Caribbean cruise (Homecoming Friends cruise) as it sailed in the Atlantic Ocean. According to the official medical examiner's report, Burger's heart simply burst. According to eyewitnesses, Burger was accompanying Bill and Gloria Gaither and Guy Penrod on the song "Hear My Song, Lord" (erroneously reported as "We Shall Behold Him" at first) when fans in the audience noticed Burger had ceased moving, his hands clenched into fists over the keyboard. Several fellow artists carried him backstage, where the cruise ship's emergency response team futilely performed CPR for about 45 minutes.
