I just roll my eyes whenever I see people bitching about Joe 'taking an allowance' from his younger brother. Not all siblings have this loose, nebulous relationship. Joe was at Anthony's side the entire time his career took off, through his divorce, his firings... Those two are close af and it shows.
Anthony isn't exactly condoning his dads behavior. He is explaining how irresponsible and crazy his dad was. That kind of explains why Anthony never had kids. That was his shitty upbringing, he probably knew he was too fucked up to raise kids himself now.

He's where he is bc he had ambition and made a funny song then sent it to opie's show. If he had sat on his ass he would still be doing HVAC. He placed himself In a position to be recognized for his talents. A big break, not luck.
