After being on a small market team for 7 years and not getting the recognition he deserves, to see AD play at such a high level on a big market team is amazing to see. Trade was definitely worth it!
Honestly he might be the most hybrid PF ever... He can post and has great footwork. A great defender, giving you 2 blocks a game and rebounder. He can stretch the floor and has tremendous basketball IQ. Super athletic and still in his prime.
Not really. Never has been. He's only ever been a number two option on an actual contender. He's proven conclusively that he can't lead a team to any kind of success as the number one option. Great talent, but has never been a leader or a winner (until he joined a winner). Maybe playing with LeBron will teach him and in the future he'll go on to live up to his potential, but as of this point in his career he's only been a very talented guy who puts up empty numbers.
@@mowglie628 if thats your point then a lot of stars or superstars today also are very talented players who put empty stats because they dont lead their team to any success like westbrook , cp3 , booker , towns , etc
@@jaze1427 Booker and Towns, yes, to an extent, but they've still got plenty of time. Westbrook and CP3? They've led their teams to plenty of success. Every team CP3 has ever played for has been successful. Not sure what you're on about mentioning them. I didn't say you have to win a title to be successful. AD had two other 20+ ppg scorers on his team last year (the only team in the league along with the Warriors to have three 20+ ppg scorers) and still didn't even have the Pelicans sniffing the #8 seed. That's pathetic any way you slice it. Put two other borderline All-stars with any of the other guys you named and I bet they make the playoffs.
Incredible versatile player on both ends. Yes, “lob to AD” gets boring, but how do you defend it? I like the post moves, the D. The genius floor IQ by LeBron feels connected, and damn, some of those dishes by Rondo are pure butter.
He's been every bit as important to the Lakers success as LeBron. Look at how LBJ and AD did on separate teams last year. They obviously get the most out of the other.
Ad was already putting up similar if not better numbers before he came to the lakers that’s why lebum wanted him and the lakers traded so many players for him idiot
giannis is way more athletic. Faster and more explosive. As far as skillset goes though, AD is slightly better. But giannis' is just too dominant physically.
Kayvon I'm not asking about who can run faster or is more athletic, like honestly there's not much difference between the two... that's why the MVP is so confusing to me. Giannis is a stronger (slightly) AD but Lebron is Lebron there's no comparison to what he can do on both ends so well
@@rayannaanderson6818 Maybe because one is leading his team, at the first seed two year a row. While one is the sidekick of LeBron. I mean Giannis is a playmaker, and better passer, better perimeter defender, more athletic (in terms of speed), slightly better handles. Better leadership, more heart The only things AD has that Giannis don't is a more regular shot. But yoi know Giannis is 2 year younger than AD (25 and 27). Loom at how Giannis progress, I can tell you that at the same age (27) Giannis will be better than AD
