In the second part of Anthony De Mello's "What You Need to Know" he goes on to explain further about "Life? What is life?" and some of our most sought after questions. In this second video he discusses how our lives are in a mess, how we feel loneliness, emptiness, and interior conflicts. He explains how life is extraordinary and delightful but how to attain happiness there are five parts and here he discusses the first two parts:
Admitting that you're life is in a mess
and
Admitting you don't want to get out of the mess (cure versus relief).
He discloses how we judge happiness, how we use bartering and how we block happiness by settling for comforts. And to quote De Mello, "When the mind is unobstructed the result is truth. When the heart is unobstructed the result is joy and love."

I love his words. But I don't understand why this 'De Mello center' keeps stopping other from posting about Anthony De Mello's videos. We need to hear him, and your center didn't post many of his videos anyway. His words need to be heard by the world so that awareness really grows. Don't stop it just because business reason.

oRin Maybe it's doesn't go well or fit with catholic theology. I know that the former pope was the head of some theology office, sorry I forgot the name of the institution and they did condemn his views..

I read his book Awareness, and whenever I was traveling. .. I had it with me. Whenever I was in a bad shape or felt disconnected, it reconnected me somehow. Also to my amazement I saw his books in former Yugoslavia in every bookstall. In Holland I had never see them.

Hmm, I think it is OK to -to some extent still suffer, not Know, to notice how it Feels to be in love, to fall out of love, all the human pleasures and pains... We are mammals; this is what mammals experience! (I would not call it full stupidity, sir! Nor does it have to Obstruct!) But there is the Other, our True being or Ground, that I am well-aware of; I just like having both my feet in both 'worlds': to be fully human and also Beyond the 'human'. This helps us with Empathy and compassion down here... and helps us really See and experience Life's Paradox. Obviously, it is SO Wonderful to be Aware, to See things egolessly; it is the Ultimate; it is being a part of the 'kingdom of Heaven'; etc. But my Own 'path' is definitely to also be a human being, and play my roles with freedom, awareness, sincerity and a lack-of-fear. To get or be Fully-Involved! Oh to be fully integrated!
