The year is 1977 and a single event transformed Toronto forever. On July 28, 1977, 12 year-old Emanuel Jaques, a shoeshine boy from the city's growing Portuguese community, disappeared from the spot where he worked on the Yonge Street strip. Days later, the revelation the boy was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and killed in a body-rub parlour, stunned the city. It led to change not only in Toronto, but change in the perception of "Toronto the Good." Author Anthony De Sa takes us back to this incident in his new book, "Kicking the Sky." He joins Steve Paikin for a look at one of the darker chapters in Toronto's history.
