I never saw this show, but they had a lot of talent. I'm surprised it didn't survive. Timing is everything. Punk rock was weirder than any music fad of today. Am I wrong?
I loved this show. Billie Bird was my fave. I remember in one episode Richard was sewing Anthony's shirt. Since his character was a surgeon he sewed it while Anthony was wearing it because, since he was a surgeon, it was the only way he could sew it.
Wow. This feels and sounds just like Golden Girls production. The music, the letter font used for the credits. We all know the kitchen on this set was used for the Golden Girls after this. And of course, Susan Harris wrote both these shows.
They came from another Susan Harris production....remember "Soap"? I gotta wonder if Harris dinb't own that incidental track, because it was used in just about everything she produced.
@@DeanMk1 George Aliceson Tipton was the music composer on most shows from Witt/Thomas, so that's why the incidental music tracks sound very similar among the shows.
ABC Thursday prime time schedule was not as strong as CBS and NBC. Probably the reason the show didn’t last long. Of course, Helen Hunt and Anthony Edwards would go on to have successful primetime careers on Mad About You and ER, respectively.
Charles Van Eman. He was one of Erica's loves on "All My Children" (Charlie Brent) and also was on the first season of "The Colbys." Other things as well, of course. ;-)
