The NBA has its Caitlin Clark. His name is Anthony Edwards, but unlike Clark, most of you have likely never heard of him. Edwards is on the cusp of being the next big thing in basketball. His 40-point performance that eliminated his childhood hero Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns could be the game that put him on the map. Jason argues that if the NBA would take his advice, Anthony Edwards would already be the star of the NBA. “Casual basketball fans are about to be introduced to the most exciting and transformational player since Michael Jordan. Or, should I say since Caitlin Clark?” Clark had a brilliant four-year career at Iowa, where she built her brand, her stardom, and women’s college basketball along the way. Edwards was one and done at Georgia. Despite being the number-one overall pick in the NBA Draft, it has taken him years to establish his name among the league’s top stars. Whitlock fortifies his argument that the NBA needs players to stay in college and makes his case for Edwards as the game’s heir apparent.
