When Gordon joined Newcastle I was FUMING! I didn't like the guy one bit, but then I didn't really know him! As a Newcastle fan, having seen the work he puts in on the pitch, and hearing him talk in interviews, I am actually ashamed that I judged the man previously! He is the most down to earth, hard working guy out there, and fair play to him! He is probably my top player of last season! :)
@@Andrew-il1rh you'll have to wait a bit longer! Thank goodness. I'm sure you'll see him there in the future though and I hope he does just as well for you as he does for us at the minute
Seems like a different persona and player that was at Everton . He’s an extremely likeable personality and player since the move even as a Liverpool supporter
@@C84__84I thought he was Everton through and through, I believe he was in the academy since 8 years of age. But who knows he could be a red and just took the Everton contract
@@k.a.n.e8636 He was a boyhood red, was in our academy as well. Got released so lost his connection with the club, went to everton afterwards. He was never an evertonian through and through like most people assumed, which is pretty much confirmed given the way he left the club, as no boyhood fan would force their way out of the club in that manner.
@@joshmachin8879 thanks for this , and I find the way he left Everton quite inspiring. He gave them some karma after the fans hurled abuse at him despite him being the only player giving his all for the club
Down to earth this lad. Honestly, his attiutde is class, keep going the way he is and he will be MASSIVE as a footballer, as a player for the Toon and as a player for his country.
As a Liverpool fan old enough to wish Liam Brady was a true Red, I secretly wished Giggs and David Silva were Reds. This young man is the latest player I'd be delighted to see at my club.
He could very easily tear it up at the Euros. Lightning pace in behind, nightmare to defend on a 1v1 dribble, and has an eye for goal and an early shot
He reminds me of Southgate, his personality is very calm and mature yet professional and hungry. Looking forward to seeing him at the tournament level for 🏴
Gordon is such a breath of fresh air from some of the appalling wingers and mentalities United fans have to endure on a weekly basis, he’s been class this season and certainly deserved his England spot.
Saw him vs Forest at the world famous City Ground. Horrible, threatening player he was, a nightmare to defend against. The best I saw all season (in the flesh) other than Odegaard, who was imperious.
I have always wondered with managers screaming on side of the pitch, could players on the pitch actually hear there manager? So many managers used to do this, i always wondered can players hear it, as the sound in the stadium can be very high.
This is a truly ridiculous thing to say. He's a good lad and he'll get his chance to be a regular starter. Right now his best bet is coming on at 70 mins and causing some trouble for tired legs.
I'm not saying he's our best player but he is our best option at left wing. You simply can't start foden, who is so so much better in the 10 as stats prove, on the left. It would be a waste of his talent. So leave foden in the 10, gordon on the left, bellingham drops down a bit. This has to be the case especially considering we're gonna have a right footed left back (until shaw is back) meaning we need someone to hold the width (which gordon would do and foden wouldn't he likes to drift) where our full back comes inside. Also, kane's by far a his best with someone running beyond him - gordon is the only player (bar bowen kinda) who has the pace and directness to run in behind when kane drops deep
What a nice young man. In the late 70's my brother in law was a regular at a pub in Sale near Manchester. He regularly told me of 'lock in'' drinking sessions with several Man U stars on Fridays.
I'm soooo glad he doesn't watch analysis of his games, it can be demoralising to watch how pundits for instance destroy a player who's struggling....or don't give credit where credit is due
