AR threw a 40 yard dart with Donald on him. I know that doesn't sound all that spectacular, but he threw that using only his arm, no legs no shoulder, just his arm. That's an amazing throw. The guy is a dynamic athlete.
Bro seriously. Some of the things he's doing I haven't seen since Luck, which is already super hype. But that? I don't think Luck could even do that. Dude is a monster.
@AllUpOns13 Luck could absolutely do that. I remember once when Luck launched a perfect deep ball while being tripped. Don't even try to disrespect Luck in an attempt to praise AR lol
I think his best throw of the day was actually an incomplete pass. 6:43 back shoulder throw in the clutch moments of the game to the young tight end who ended up dropping the pass. If caught, would have been a 3rd down conversion sending them into near field goal range for a game winning attempt.
Some inaccuracy but also some big-time throws that were incomplete but not AR's fault: 6:45 Perfect back shoulder ball placement, absolutely should have been caught 4:21 From the All-22 angle, this is a PERFECT throw to Pittman but it appears that the LAR defender gets his hand into Pittman's facemask and disorients Pittman 4:40 Tough throw but it did his Granson in the mitts
6:45 far from perfect placement. If it was perfect the DB wouldn't have been able to get a hand inside to break it up. 4:21 Pittman was wide open a long time ago but AR doesn't see it and essentially throws a jump ball because he was too late.
@@jimmie_gIn no way shape or form should a throw that's at or behind the LOS be off target like that. Yeah it should be caught but thats just an example of AR's poor accuracy.
@@sekaikage geez, he's 21 years old, started 13 games in college and is playing better than anyone expected, but there's always those people who already expect him to be playing like Tom Brady in his prime. He'll only get better.
No need to throw darts at your back when he's 5 yards away. If it's behind him (which it was) it becomes a very hard ball to catch. His arm is so darn strong it looks like he's throwing a nerf ball but there is a time to throw bullets and a time to take something off it and put touch on the ball. He has a very high drop ball percentage. @@jimmie_g
That's his downfall. Throwing on the run or off his back foot is a bad habit he has. especially when he doesn't have to. His accuracy will never get better until he corrects that.
Throws the ball too hard on the short passes. Stefan Diggs had to tell Josh Allen to not put so much mustard on the ball when it's a short throw. It's cold in Buffalo and if the pass is not right on target it becomes a difficult pass to catch.
I think when Jelani Woods comes back it’s gonna be on. Woods has star potential at the tight end position, and can be a safety option for Anthony. Serious, talking potential Pro Bowler there, could help open it up for the receivers.
Colts as a team got assaulted by the Rams in the first half. Richardson got right out in the second half and drove the offense down on some nice drives. Not the best day for the Colts WRs including Michael Pittman Jr. Felt pretty good about Richardson overall. What I want to see is progress. After all this was his 2nd complete NFL game coming in with the least amount of college QB experience of the top drafted rookie QBs.
I've noticed that Richardson is like Manning in a sense that in the first half he'll be down but once the second half starts he has downloaded the information and starts picking apart defenses
If AR can adapt and learn to make adjustments in the pocket but also plant/set his footing more often, he could throw alot more accurate passes. He tends to throw on the run when he really doesn't have Noone on him. In time he will build that awareness and become alot more comfy inside or outside the pocket. And that's when he will be dangerous.
I see a lot of good things from AR. The athleticism is undeniable. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the quickness of his decision making. I also don't feel like he is as sloppy with the ball as many said he would be coming out of college. He definitely makes the Colts exciting to watch!
@@NFLStudy The great decision making and pocket presence were all over his college tape. People saw a few wild passes a game and just assumed he was an inaccurate and poor decision maker. But he actually sees the field well and makes great decisions. I think he is just getting better coaching here at the NFL level and is in a MUCH better offense. The inexperience that he was often dinged for in the draft process means he doesn't have a ton of bad habits that are entrenched in his play.
The quickness of his decision making definitely stood out to me. Especially considering his lack of starts in college. Seems like colts and texans got steals compared to panthers and made the much better choices in qb. Especially considering bryce young's small build. Any thoughts on that?@@NFLStudy
Easy to point out open guys when you’re sitting comfortably in a seat watching the field from an overview and not with Arron Donald in your grip every play lmao
