Why do you not have more subscribers? The quality of this video is astonishing! Well-paced, concise, informative, and well explained. And the editing is top notch, too! Also, JoJo references are the cherry on top. I gained much more from this video than from many others combined, I love it!
I prefer switch axes with power element phial because they reach amped state alot faster than the ones with power phial (even those ones do probably have higher damage when doing ZSD)
The tick scales with Elemental and the Explosion scales with Raw DMG. They both do good. But if you use Power Phial, I personally recommend to slot in Coalescence
Build 1 garbage, Build 2 garbage, build 3 less garbage but still. ZSD spam without Tool specialist (secret)? Not gonna use it. Dragon attack vs fatalis kinda pointless. Defense boost 3 not gonna bother
I had a few failed attempts on fatalies with DB and LS.... yesterday, my Safi Shatter Switchaxe did the trick as you've show. I wondered, that it would let me ZSD so often. But it made me happy :>
Another tip for anyone that is suffering is to use dragon pods they keep dropping all the time just hit him twice and it flinches him causing him to cancel almost any attack of course excluding the huge fire breath attacks you can use slinger when you are on the ground so that could save your life
Hello, I wrote this to thanks you for this vídeo. After weeks of failures in trying to beat Fatalis for the first time and using several builds and weapons I use the first build you recomend in this video, and after two tries finally managed to beat him. I must say I din't do it alone, I beat Fatalis with my hunt partner, he was using IG, he was doing few but continuous damage and I make massive damage but less frecuent. Anyway, the tips and advises you give in this video was really useful, so again you have won my gratitude and another subscriptor.
Alrin Yay fellow SG Monster Hunter! Also thanks for explaining the fire damage being mostly physical, I decided to remove my Fire Res+ jewel to fit in more offense skills, did finally solo Fatalis last night. Now I have 2-piece Fatalis armor, just deciding how and what to set now with this skill freedom.
for someone looking into a more braindead switch axe build you can go with any safi axe and pick up lunastra secret and go full attack on the weapon there after for armor use lunastra helm and boots and use chest and pants from gold rath for gauntlets you can use alatreon alpha gauntlets to pick up 3 power prelonger, and that way you can get 5 divine protection 3 health boost and 5 tool specialist while being able to slot in some part breaker, that way you can ZSD spam your way to victory. keep in mind you might not want to fully spam as zsd dosent have the best part break damage so when you can just hit it in the head to get that evil eye
Monster Zero I’ve tried both the Alatreon and Lightbreak SA. I would say if you can fit in Crit Element, the Lightbreak’s higher raw and Blast feels superior. I’ve completed my solo SA run in Fatalis using the Lightbreak, and managed a hornbreak earlier than when I tried with the Alatreon one. If you have the Blast Safi SA, I think it’s superior to Alatreon’s.
So there are few things that are outdated here. Most of Fatalis moves are pure physical damage. Why did the dev's made it like that we really dont know. While Fatalis is 3 star weak to dragon he has some horrible hit zone values for elemental attacks, in fact some of the worst in the game. For fatalis switch axe its recommended to put health, and attack augments. While agitator is a very useful skill due to his three minute long enraged state, unfortunately the skill its self doesnt last that long. But aside from that well done video. Hope this helps others
@@_Alrin obviously most of his attacks are fire but the data for them is unorthodox. Almost every fire attack he does is coded to have a 70/30 of physical to fire out of 100 percent of his attack power for moves. The only exceptions to this are his fire cone attack, the sweeping breath, and his downward flames breath. They have a 60/40 of fire then physical. Why is it coded like that we really can't say. But more people have had more consistent runs with more defence speced into physical. Also the head breaks have some weird effects. If the horn isnt broken before phase 3 then the game activates a flag for fatalis. Said flag will rather than increase his fire damage it increases his overall strength. Funnily enough breaking his horn cause him to priority attacks that dont leave him vulnerable to head attacks for a few minutes. It would explain why he tends to spam some moves and never uses some at times. But aside from that cant wait for the next vid
@@monsterzero9456 if you put all upgrades into attack you'll be doing some great dps. The down side is the sharpness. Your best bet is either alatreon or raging bracydios. It all just depends on u as the hunter. But alatreon trumps raging due to deco slots. And you'll only get one pr two blast procs at most. But for over all consistancy use alatreon for it's better sharpness. That's all I can say the rest boils down to skill and rng
@@_Alrin @Alrin as stupid as it is fatalis will always do more physical over fire. It's really stupid I know. The dragonator is tied to both his health and time left. As for the minimum time to use it I'm not to sure, fastest I've gotten is before 10 minutes left on the quest. But it's always scripted to be useable just before 25 mins. Another thing to note is sometimes fatalis will do two ults before the dragonator can be used. This might have to do with a flag for his current health left. The fire tick damege the only reason why you'd want hard fire res. But ever notice how much damage every attack does to you health regardless of how much fire defense you have? It still nearly one shots you if you have less than 1k defense. Depending on what armour your friend is useing you can completely forgo the fire res and put in a more useful skill (such as divine blessing, defense up, etc.) Also the ultimate does a set amount of damage, but here's the kicker... its almost pure physical damage. The data for fatalis is so fucking stupid it makes me angry only three attacks have slightly more fire damage than physical, those being the cone breath, the sweeping fire breath, and the fire breath aimed at his pelvis. And to convince your freind to spec into physical defense do a free test runs with them. As unorthodox as it is to breing physical defense against the monster said to have the strongest fire breath it works better than having fire res. Trust me I have a handful of kills under my belt.
2 Raging Brachy + 2 Gold Rath is a lot better imo. The speed eating here feels weird since you should've graduate from High Pot and spam max potions anyway. The level 5 Divine Blessings have more uptime and more reliable for not getting 1 shot or when you use Rocksteady to latch when he moves
I saw on some else's build that you don't need Partbreaker for ZSD spamming fatty's head but haven't tested it myself still worth mentioning in case you wanna use more utility or dps skills also you supposedly do more damage too fatty when he's on all fours (no sexual references here, haha 😂) and that a single point in Earplugs helps when ZSD'ing during a roar
