@dizcret not well. Pratice for this is hard to make time for. When I lived closer to a city, I played poker, which gave me free time to work on things like this. One more thing I need to complete.... with so many unfinished quests, my life has turned into Skyrim.
Those who attempt this. It's possible, just takes a long time to master. Coin size matters according to your hand size. In the beginning you'll only be able to flip the coin over but that's fine. Keep going .
I haven't been practicing magic this whole time but you've been an inspiration for… honestly something like 15 years. I stumbled across some of your videos in my early teens, and I think you might even be the first female magician I came across. There didn't seem to be very many female magicians at the time and I always thought you were so badass for that.
She is teaching really something else... Her talent level is really different & Great ,,, Because she is teaching magic by science that will never let you down, Bravo ❤
Like seeing your videos. Good info. Keep it up! One performance checkpoint about the muscle pass... Don't move the hand the coin starts in when you do it. The illusion is supposed to be the coin floats to the hand above it. If you move the bottom hand even slightly in an up down direction while you do it, it ruins the illusion. By the way, I would love to see you do a video on how you would teach a LePaul spread.
i followed you for a long time abd this format where you shortly "let's learn" something in the forest is just perfect. I love all your content. Thank you for the great effort!
Bonus information: The thenar eminence is a fleshy mound at the base of the thumb on the palm of the hand. It's made up of three muscles that control the thumb's movements, including grasping, pinching, and holding small objects: Abductor pollicis brevis (APB) Flexor pollicis brevis (FPB) Opponens pollicis You're thenar eminence is crazy ass talented to flick a coin back up a foot into the air.🤑
People who play guitar in both fingerstyle and with a pick use the same “classic palm” technique to easily switch between styles. Never thought it might have been picked up from magicians
the fact that ive watched u over 10 years ago and now you're popping up on my suggestions /feed is something out of a fairytale! it's been so long but I see how FAR you've come kat! (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)
I learned this technique in high school with a full silver dollar. It took 2-4 hours a day for 30 days in a row to get about 10 inches of height. (practicing under my desk). I had a blue circle from bruising and calluses on my palm. It's better used as an invisible pass to move the coin from hand to hand or hand to pocket, etc. But if you do the visual effect as she does no one will believe you're actually doing it.
Has nothing to do with the video, but when I saw that coin she used I got hit with a blast of nostalgia thinking "Wow... She's got the mantis flip coin!" Iykyk
The real trick here, making this so much better, is moving your top hand, diverting the viewers attention from the flick, which is barely noticeable if you focus
