Can you provide an example of what you mean? Like a timestamp for that sound? Edit: If you mean the sound that is on 8:06 my Wii actually does that sound when it freezes. I can be playing a game and it just freezes and that sound comes on quite loud. Once you get used to it it isn't that bad anymore.

Anyone know what the actual sound effect is called? It really messes with your fight or flight instincts.

fun fact: in gyakuten kenji 2 (ace attorney investigations 2), there’s a real anti-piracy measure built in where if the game detects an illegal copy, it displays the entire game in the fictional borginian language found within the game. it’s playable, yet none of the dialogue is readable. it’s actually really cool, and often i find the real anti-piracy measures taken in games more interesting than the fake ones created. there’s an article abt it on tcrf if you’d like to read more

Minecrafts one is good too, it uses elements from the vanilla game and then permanently bans you from playing. Like a big middle finger to pirates. I also love how the splash text is changed
