My favorite point that Rabbi Olesker makes is "politics is tribal." I think that needing to be in a group is so much at the heart of student upheaval. It was the case when I was in college decades ago, too.

Just an observation, Jews are neither right or left, politically , or spiritually, right chessed , Ishmael , to much freedom gives another the undeserved right to all freedom of pleasure , the left gevurah Esau, to be the ultimate judge, both sides are interrelated and doing the similar intentions , for ulterior motives ! The middle Jackov ! So do us all , we have to constantly question our own inner motives and intentions ! That maybe myself talking, thank you Rabbi !

He says "it's not your grandfather's antisemitism". I disagree. All this is exactly the same as antisemitism as was expressed for the past 2,000 years.
