I'm going to be honest, if they made an anti vaping ad called "don't be a fuckboy" I'm pretty sure it would be ten times more successful than the current ads.
Let's not forget how the majority of kids that vape think it hardly does anything to them, some even think it's healthy. So instead of that stupidity shown in the ads, they could, you know show actual real information.
@@cnutsack what's wrong with vapes? I don't vape, I smoke cigs. I'm aware of the actual dangers. But vapes are just flavoured vapour with nicotine. Nicotine is just a stimulant. Like caffeine
@@indistinguishable7259 but Nicotine by itself is not bad at all. I fail to see what's the issue with vaping as much as you want. Imo, the only requirement should be that there should be a rigorous system to check if you're over 18 when buying any smoking products
The only reason vaping really annoys me is that vaping is mostly for people who want to quit cigarettes and kids at schools just think it’s a cool trend.
@@Ez-ij7pe I haven’t really seen them being targeted to kids at all. The only “evidence” I’ve seen of that is the “tHeY hAvE sWeEt FlAvOrS” argument, which is dumb since adults don’t suddenly stop liking sweet things.
@@wordvomit2936 um okay so they promote vapes using influencers and youtubers that typically have a younger demographic (the kids) so if they see their favorite RU-vidr or creator do a trend, they'd likely do the same. This is obvious like in fidget spinners, they used youtubers to promote it and look how popular it got
You realize all the kids mostly thought cigs were cool too right thats why they do them..? Vapes are better ESPECIALLY for that reason, if kids DO start vaping because they think "its cool and the adults are doing it" its better they vape than smoke cigarettes. Even if they are both bad for you.
I mean Juul starting a social media campaign where they promoted their products didn’t help. I don’t have an opinion on vapes, but they definitely aren’t/weren’t scared to push the stuff on kids
The worst part about these ads is that they don’t give any compelling points on why you should stop vaping, it’s just a sad attempt at relating to the young generation, and scaring you with horror gore that in no way accurately depicts the physical and mental effects of addiction to vapes and shit...
Fear mongering is high in such advertisements, especially The Real Cost. I once saw an ad showing a giant crystal vape monster attacking a man with vape-crystal beams. The fact that they overuse that kind of drama makes it seem that they are addicted to fear-mongering.
They are truth ads. Once upon a time, big tobacco companies lost a huge lawsuit. Part of the settlement was that they had to fund anti smoking ads. These were done under the "truth" banner. In the late 2000s vaping took off as much safer alternative to cigarettes (it is. This is an undisputed fact. If you are disputing it, you are retarded.) Tobacco companies came up with the brilliant idea of using this established truth machine to target morons with these anti vaping ads. And you know what? It's working! Idiots around the world are demonizing vaping even though there is exactly ZERO scientific evidence that vaping is harmful. Go ahead and Google it. You won't find shit.
Honestly, I’ll personally never vape or smoke, but if one of my friends or a peer starts vaping or something I’m not their mom, I’m not gonna tell them what they should or shouldn’t do. I have no issues with people who vape, but the moment someone pressures me or is trying to get me to vape or smoke something I don’t want to then that’s when I draw the line
I smoke ciggaretes only when i drink alcohol and i vape sometimes, but people who pressure you into those are nothing short of massive assholes.I never "made" anyone do it and neither did my friends.Wanna smoke?Drink? No?You are welcome to sit with me either way.
Neither should I bother to force somebody to stop vaping or whatever. Sure, it's bad, but in the end, it's their final decision and all I can do is suggest or give advice and maybe help form their decision. Either extreme is completely annoying.
There's a new ad with this bug eyed 17 year old girl showing how vaping has affected her. She legit had no emotion. She just stared into the camera it was weird af
@@platinumbrain imagine adults taking advice from a cartoon...they tried to kept us in such a child mentality they think the old G.I. Joe cartoon "knowing is half the battle" ending is still viable...oh wait this comment exists lol
vaping is fun imo ppl that hate vapes bc of ppl is just a classic example of ppl hating shit bc of stereotypes lol I do vapes, weed, etc with my homies theyre not rlly douches or anything tbh I just think it’s funny ppl act like the effects start coming in instantly and believe stereotypes of ppl to avoid a good chill time
@@Alex-by9kt I know it's just the double standard but vape is worse to them because smoking was part of their lives not this new fad which to them is strange
At this point I’m a tiny bit “offended” about how they think that people are acting like this JUST because of vape. I can act like that, and I’ve never even seen a real vape personally in my life, let alone use one. The hell this shit isn’t boomer, it’s BEYOND boomer...

I was in an actual anti vape ad and I had to do a scene where I had to do a puff on a vape and I actually got addicted to vaping for a month because of that
Diesel patches: yeah, who's fault is that? Me: Them. Finger points at me Me: Didn't see that coming. Edit: I did not expect this comment to get this many likes
I was in school and I thought, yo why are there toilets and urinals in the vape room? Real talk tho I hate how crowded the bathroom now cause of these dumbass cheifers. I can’t even take a piss
A few things- -The ads are cringe, yes. - it just wants to make people vape lol. -But because there are so many ads on this wouldn’t it get to some younger generations which it would make them want to do it because they keep seeing it everywhere?
Hey, i just wanted to share my story on vaping. So it started with a bunch of my friends and seniors talking about and vaping infront of me. Since i looked up to them and was pretty close, i got peer pressured into it. To the point where i was with my friends, crouching in a closed toilet, in the middle of the night, with cigs and vapes, being as quiet as we can as to not get caught. At that point i had a "post nut clarity" kind of situation. "What the fuck am i doing" i reflected on my actions, why am i hiding, why am i doing this. Even my health was deteriorating. Later i said to myself i had enough, since there was no one to scold me. I would scold and hit myself on my back with a belt to get over the addiction. Did it work? Yes. Do i recommend it? No. The End
The 2 girls 1 is real. At my hs if somebody is arguing they go crazy and record everything. Sometimes if a fight starts the police have to get involved
how to get kids to stop vaping: show what vaping actually does to you and show it might accidentally explode how to not get kids to stop vaping: vape bad so we show us break vape, ooga booga edit: also the girl that pours orange juice into the glass, i love how her mom gets super pissed
It does barely anything to you, and these advertisers know it. The real reason they promote anti-vaping to youth is to (try to) fear monger them into not vaping, as there should be no reason for a child to vape because it's solely meant as a solution (and life-saver) for smokers. Vaping isn't bad, you should do more research (not saying it's healthy either, putting anything into your lungs isn't good, but it's saved many lives and non-black market and industry approved products have been *proven* to do no damage in any way). But alas, you can see it isn't working as kids will be kids, and it's impossible to really deter them (but agreeably they're also misinterpreting how youth thinks and how to cater to them as a demographic). If you need multiple citations, I am happy to provide them to you. Have a good one.
@@bananabuns1369 I am sorry you feel that way, I wasn't trying to sound rude, as that was not my intention. I merely wrote a paragraph in means to correct you on some things, as they were objectively incorrect, and needed explanation in full detail. Have a great day.
Never in my life looked up anything related to vape on my phone, computer, or built in internet browser. Anti-vaping ads: ya like nightmares? Now I want to vape just so I can forget these ads.
This reminds me of an onion article about an anti cigarette ad that basically said "smoking is gay" and despite it being satirical i think that would be infinitely more effective ad than this shit
Weird. Went into the bathroom with a couple of girls vaping. Went straight into my face. Ironically diesel made this video not even a week after I spotted those girls. By the way I'm a freshman and they were too.
This is accurate 6:02 I have a uncle he did drugs he ended up homeless. When my aunt died (may 2020) he came to visit because it was his sister. He came with injuries and we had to disinfect everything since he is homeless he wasn’t so clean. He used to look good and had A nice big white smile. Now he has only 3 teeth and they are not clean. Luckily he just found a apartment last weekend. Please never do ANY drugs it can lead to an addiction and RUIN your life.
