This is such a good lecture to sum up one's antibiotic knowledge, we read many random facts about the drugs but having them all put together in one board is so helpful . senior med student here and still learning new things about antibiotics

Ernest Duchesne (30 May 1874 - 12 April 1912) was a French physician who noted molds kill bacteria. He made this discovery 32 years before Alexander Fleming discovered the antibiotic properties of penicillin, but his research went unnoticed. then Flemming read his thesis 32 years after, and descovered penicillin

The funny thing with this channel is that while studying I always have at least some topic that leads me here. The problem is that I then keep wanting to watch the follow up or deep dive videos to the point where I have to tell myself that I will come back AFTER my exams and early enough before the next ones (one of the two exams tomorrow at least has to do with immunology) :)
