An overview of the indications, mechanisms, pharmacology, and side effects of anticoagulants and thrombolytics (including warfarin/Coumadin, the various forms of heparin, and the NOACs/DOACs). #hematology #pharmacology
Just wanted to say thanks for making these videos. I appreciate your ability to break down the topics and how you mix in your own thoughts on these new DOACs.
very helpful video. thank you! I was looking for the more lessons you mentioned in the introduction regarding e.g.von villebrand disease but could not find any. please throw a link.
Your lectures are too good ! You put everything in a beautiful systematic presentation , your videos are my go to for any topic about any system. I wish you would do a dedicated set of videos for neurology I have no doubt you know each and every topic in medicine like a genius
A complete series on immunology is on my bucket list, but it's a huge commitment to cover the subject well and in as much depth as it deserves. So unfortunately, realistically, I don't think I'll be getting to it for at least a few years.
As a footnote: Warfarin is the most commonly used VKA **in the US**. In other areas -Latin America and Spain, for example- acenocumarol is the one commonly used.
