Hello, unfortunately we have never traveled to Antigua in February ( yet ). The last 2 times we were there and shot these videos were in November and March. November was totally clear of Sargassum, but in March when we arrived the beach was covered with it. Fortunately between the clean up and the Sargassum naturally drying up and dissipating, by the 3rd day the ocean and beach was clear again. Safe Travels!
Hi, I don’t believe Zika is a major issue in Antigua, but if you are concerned, avoid being out at dusk and dawn when mosquitos are most prevalent and use insect repellent on exposed skin. March is the 2nd driest month in Antigua as it rains about 8 days and only around 1.8 inches and usually when it does rain it doesn’t last for too long. Enjoy your trip and Safe Travels!
The Taxi ride should take between 5-7 minutes. I’m pretty sure Tamarind Hills can order you a taxi or at least get you a phone number. Make sure you agree on a price before. And if you find a taxi driver you like make sure to hang onto their number (via WhatsApp) for future trips if needed. Safe Travels!
