Currently the only way to make antimatter is by smashing protons against a wall. Talk about raw methods. But this is not just any wall, it is a wall made of iridium among other elements.

I’m no scientist but I simply had to write this down. If 1 electron has -1 e and 1 positron has +1 e then it should be assumed that a more appropriate name would be negative and positive matter. What we call electron should be called a “negatron”. Where a negatron would pull things in, because it has a negative effect on the force of other matter a positron would then be expected to push with the same force. That doesn’t happen, opposites attract. Because the collision converts both forms of matter into energy it must be stated there is no neutral matter including light (as we yet know). This means that if the “big bang theory” having used energy to create negative matter were true would then at the same time probably create positive matter. Even now when matter is converted into energy it doesn’t simply disappear, it is transformed. Yet there is no Absolute Zero state so as energy dissipates we should theorize that it does in fact transfer to matter of some kind. Because of these observations it must be safe to hypothesize that gravity and energy both act on a substance based sully on its properties and not just on the amount of either force. Gravity and energy, such as light, also interact because photons DO have mass though we can’t measure it yet. This also means the both gravity and light are not universal. Light may in fact be able to travel slower or faster than previously thought. As an asteroid gets shot around a planet picking up speed, light may in fact change with different gravitational pulls. So would gravity then be the Amount of negatrons in a single location? This might mean that a black hole is a massive gathering of an unidentified element.

Anti matter is really defined by it's spin compared to an object of the same size. Anti-matter still weighs the same as it's matter counterpart, it just moves in the other direction when you put it in a magnetic field. That's why the proton isn't the antimatter for an electron, despite having the opposite charge. The proton weighs more than the electron and has other properties. Meanwhile an anti-proton behaves almost the same as a proton and has the same mass. This is just how anti-matter was defined, as well as experimental evidence to support this.

Energy storage has to be stable. Which is not the case with antimatter, requiring absolute void, and high magnetic confinement. I doubt it could be used as a power source (not storage) as it is not abundant in nature, an requires more energy to be produced than the energy it releases after consumption. There is not much future for antimatter in my opinion, as "science ficty" and funny it may sound like. Of course, low amouts for antimatter production for research purposes is still very useful.

For energy, yeah fusion is much better. For thrusters? Well antimatter is the best ratio for mass to energy conversion, so it makes sense to use it there if we can produce enough to make it worth while, pretty much using a Dyson swarm or reactor bank to create antimatter to be used later in thrusters.

If we can harness antimatter for scientific measuring equipment, and it is repelled by gravity, then it would be able to show us when/if gravity falls below 0, or when there is an anti-mass of antimater. Basically, flip the ball on the sheet upside down and antimatter rolls away from what would be a gravity well on the other side.
