This is such a treasure. Thank you for sharing. I live in Tell City INDIANA. My former dentist and his wife have a son who lives in Boise. And they spent a lot of time in Alaska after visiting him in Boise. It’s a small world.

Such an interesting book. I think journals, scrapbooks, etc. have been around a long time. I will be continuing my small part by continuing making "junk" journals for as long as I am able!🥰❣

Being a retired farmer I love the old book that was used and then everything that was inside is so interesting. Cool that your family got a mention. I remember livestock judging competitions from when I was a kid in 4H... Thanks for the share.❤️🇨🇦

I was in 4-H too! Mainly did cooking and sewing every year, but I did some other subjects also. I think there is a secret farmer lurking somewhere deep inside me. ;-) I have a longstanding fondness for cows and a small garden. It was a fun surprise to discover that Uncle Burt was involved in livestock judging-so different from his reclusive lifestyle when I knew him. TFW, Laura!

That was such a treasure! It made me want to do research on some of those people. You need to invest in a scanner! I think that would make a great kit, I would certainly purchase! You should show how to make them into cabinet cards.

I've got the scanner, just a little fuzzy on what's required to turn images into printables. I just haven't got the energy right now to learn something else new. :-) TFW, my friend!

The camera on your phone is far more advanced than most scanners (unless you take it to a printer and have then scan it) Take nice clear close up pictures and crop them. Make digital collagees or just print as is. Then use those to make your digitals. Taking photos would be far easier than scanning given they’re glued in the book

Wow, that it a marvelous tip, thank you! I wouldn't have thought of taking photos instead of scanning but it makes sense. You're right, it would be much easier than trying to lay that bulky book on a scanner. TFW! 💖

my printer is also a scanner....if you have a Office Depot or Office Max near you, you can copy the pages and put them on a flashdrive directly from the printer then use them on your computer!!!

I thought those two girls were lesbians getting married. I was “Awee that’s awesome!” But then you kept reading.. they were sisters lol .. and then i remembered, back then they were harsh on the LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 Community 👎🏼.

They were conjoined twins marrying on the same day. Unusual, but especially in that day, because the ladies were from a high-profile family, they were getting married, and they had survived as conjoined twins. TFW
