I stopped doing what you are doing about a year ago when we moved from Denver to the mountains... my husband offered for me to get my own work building to continue and I said no, BUY YOU are making me crave it gain! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL love your channel!
Wow, I would have been discouraged as well when the door fell apart like that but good for you not giving up and fixing it! I have to say, omg...you are one talented lady, that painting inside the cabinet is just beautiful!!!
My dad used to restore furniture that was splinters, so it's good to see you stuck in there and got this across the finish line. The decoration inside has a great subtle harmony. Keep doing what you're doing!!!
The interior cabinet paint is like the old timers who would line trunks, cabinets or armoires with wallpaper to make them fresh and clean. Satin paint makes everything smooth and oh so practical. Congrats!!
What a makeover, I have to go find a piece and try my hand at it. Thank-you for showing us how to make an old piece of furniture beautiful and unique. 🌸
love everything about this video! love hearing your journey with savings for this year and LOVEEEEE how that piece of furniture turned out. Really, really into the neutral on white pattern and well that brings a delicate flair. Seriously so glad to know you have a youtube!
Thank you Chelsea! I appreciate the support. I've been itching to do a neutral over white design for awhile but was worried it would show very well. I WAS WRONG! Glad I went for it & very happy with how it turned out.
I m stunned at the great variety of second hand furniture you find- here in Australia our second hand shops are soooo expensive and not very good stuff
I think it's great that you have goal. It would be fun to see what you sold from Fb and your booth and at what price. Thatd be fun to watch every month and if you reached your goal. Thanks for the great videos you put out.
Oh man! I called it a day after that happened. Just extra work that I wasn't prepared to take on but I'm happy with the end result for sure. Thank you Patty!
Absolutely love the piece. You are so creative! I wish things in MY booth sold like in YOUR booth!! You seem to be very good choosing what people want.
@@amandasmercantile I've had several booths through the years (I'm 72), but most recently I spent 7 1/2 years in an antique mall in Pensacola, FL that was damaged by hurricane Sally last Sept.and the owners decided to sell rather than repair. Very recently I got a new booth in a nearby town. I do mostly smalls and small furniture....tables, chairs, stools, etc It's definitely a hobby, but it keeps me out of trouble. Except from my husband and the crowded garage!
Hahaha! I know that feeling. That must have a been a huge pain having to close the one down and start new some place else. I haven't had to experience that yet but I can imagine it isn't super fun.
Hi Amanda I’m a new subscriber and I really like your personality. I think you very sweet and hope you make your goal of 1k per month from your furniture flipping.
Marina! Thank you so much. I really appreciate the support. I'm already lagging behind in February because of the weather in VA BUT I'll do some extra hustle in the last half of this month to make up for it.
LOVE everything about this video!!! The cabinet turned out stunning! I've got an old TV cabinet that I painted white but still kinda hate (in my home) and now I'm thinking that I need to paint the inside and try my hand at your technique....loved it. Also would love to hear more about your savings journey with "paying yourself". :)
New sub here, I so enjoy your content. I think you're very talented and quite inspiring!☺ That cabinet is gorgeous! Question...does adding all that detailing inside the cabinet allow you to increase how much you will price it for? Just wondering👍. Wish you posted more often👍
Thank you so much! Yes, I usually tack on an extra 25% and I have found when I do this design on a piece it sells almost immediately. This piece has already been claimed and I haven't even shared but a snippet on my Instagram story. I'm trying to get better about content output! Please stick around!
OK I have to know! Were you planning to sell That wooden cabinet? And if so how much are you listing it for? Because you definitely need to get paid for all of the detail that you put into it! It is amazing
Hey Ashley! Yes! It was the plan to sell it. It actually ended up selling before the project was even done to a follower on Instagram. I sold it for $450.
