It iz a beautifull clock u pulled a new antique clock i just got it has an alarm in side but it wount sound because tha case iz a little tight .restricts it from sounding ,my uncle say it has a slip clutch because it wont move itz pendulum if i move tha pendulum away from itz gear then itz gears move and tha hands spin around
Thsi is a beautiful piece, it is really a classic but it is not chiming right the way it should. It is chiming a qurter at each quarter and that is wrong, you have to set it right. I am sorry to tell you that the chime is not too correct. On the first quarter it chimes only one quarter of the Westminster tune that is correct in this clock. On the second quarter it should chime half the Westminster Chime, that is two quarters of the Westminster chime, but it only does the next quarter that is wrong as it is not complete, two quarters makes it complete on the half hour. On the third it should chime three quarters of the Westminster chime. I have a similar clock it's a HAC too and that is how it chimes and is supposed to chime. Yes on the hour it only strikes the time that part is correct. I shall load my clock within the week.
Because as shown there are two winding holes, but don’t play what you would expect, you would expect him bam, strike, etc, but however this is a rare model I have seen only once at my local clock shop. In mint condition
