Stopped by my parents house on my travels to Japan (currently in Tokyo) and everything you’re reacting to this video was demonstrated by me when they showed me this! Funny thing is my folks seem to think this guy knows more than me about Pokémon cards and they trust him more than myself.
Yooo! Love the reaction video. I think the guy is going off 2020 market peak pricing, lol... Thats the only way to explain his over analysis. Hope you're doing good
Thanks man 😊 doing great 👍🏼 I was thinking the same but he says I have to give you bad news that these have dropped in price a bunch since the peak in 2020
I love his skewer pointing stick lol. This was classic, pokeguru cousin for pricing much fun! Thanks for the upload. I want to go watch some roadshow now lol. Have a blessed day all!
Zeducation did a "fact checking" video on 8/16 and at 16:56 and there is a screenshot of AR's video in it. I showed my wife the actual AR video and then decided to watch your reaction video. I was not sure how you were going to respond but it was worth it and worth the time to drop a comments. Having four 90's kids, '91, '93, '94, and '95, we had a lot of Pokemon cards but they played with their cards so any collection they have is probable worth $50.00 lol. Thanks.
Great video. Nothing like hearing though that someone’s parents bought them an entire base set. While mine didn’t even let me buy Pokémon cards with my own money back in the day :/
You're right about everything the "appraiser" said but I do have to point out one thing.. Are you really going to poke fun at the way the guy pronounces Nidoking when you yourself pronounce Zapdos as Zapados? Come on my guy.. do better. I do also have to point out that while you are also correct that most raw cards don't go for graded card prices, there are some that do hold high value even as raw. Some can be higher value than even PSA 9s if they are flawless and likely to get a high grade. In those few instances, depending on the card, they in fact can command higher prices than the same graded counterpart. Should it be that way? Maybe not. But that's how the market works. People would pay a high premium for cards that have a chance at grading 10s.
Telling some one their Pokémon card collection is not worth anything is painful. It's like telling some one their baby is cute when it's really ugly lol.
this was sooooo cringe I hate this misinformation lol its almost as bad as though pop up ads you could have a card in your attic that is worth 1 millions dollars.
Exactly, the amount of people that will now think they have thousands of dollars because they have a Mewtwo and some other holos because the original video is sad
Antiques roadshow is just for old people and probably run by old people and just gave this guy random numbers to say cause these old people have no clue about pokemon since its not an old teaspoon or something lol
Pokémon cards aren’t going to be really worth a ton of money until Pokémon actually dies out! That’s why I’ll hang onto my old cards from 99-05 until Pokémon dies out some more. And it will eventually just like everything else
