Fortunately my mother was exactly just like Laura’s mom... she has past on and I so long for those memories of shopping and dining out with her...I’m so blessed to have an adult daughter to continue those fun times with ..✨🤍
Laura’s mum saying there is too much fear these days is so true. Love how Laura’s mum is so down to earth, so relatable and has a pizzazz for style and romance in the home. I think Laura’s mum should start her own channel with her ideas about how to “romance the ordinary” ( her words from an old video) How to set a table properly with all the crystal and antique crockery and glass wear etc. I’d be so down for a channel by her. Anyone else?
Laura, I absolutely love seeing your girls’ day out footage. I lost my mom in 2020 and we both enjoyed watching your content and would discuss it almost daily. “What is Laura doing today?” was the topic of many of our conversations. Watching you and your mom makes me feel a bit closer to her, so thank you for being so generous and sharing your mom with those of us who have lost ours. Also, I think Samantha Grace’s shorts are adorable too. What a cutie!

I lost my mom in 2020 also. Miss her every day. I love watching Laura and her mom together. It really reminds me of how my mom and I related and did things together. My mom was my best friend too.

This video brought tears to my eyes, actually I’m bawling like a baby … I lost my mom almost two years ago - too soon and you two remind me of our outings to antique stores, thrift stores and garden centres. You are so lucky to have your mom. I miss mine more than words can say. My husband and I bought my mom and dad's 1880's farmhouse and I'm doing my best to preserve the flowers and shrubs they planted while I was growing up there. I have like a million questions I'd love to ask you about plants!

Oh, Laura, my dad was a "shoe shine boy", too! He's no longer with us, but was one of the hardest working men I've ever known. His box was handmade and we still have it. His horse hair shine brush was the best and he would shine our shoes every Sunday before church.
Skipped to planting around 37:00, and I just loved Benjamin running through the "maze." The stepping stone paths are just what I need in my hillside garden. We need a garden tour of your parents' garden this year!

I love these videos with your mom. My mom and I used to shop and plant together, have cocktails! She now has Alzheimers and I've had to move her to memory care within the last month. I miss our times together and enjoy the memories these videos bring about. Enjoy each other to the fullest!!

OK, so the french fry maker… we had one growing up that was plastic. That sucker WORKED! But there were absolutely no safety features to it so heaven help you if you got your finger in there. LOL. Laura totally should’ve purchased Nordic Wear duck pan in honor of the baby ducks in the meadow. I have the pumpkin pan and I use it in the fall for cupcakes, cornbread, etc. Any kind of cake product goes in the pumpkin pan in the fall. (Hubby’s favorite is spice cake.). It’s a lot of fun.

I agree with Laura that it's fun to garden with friends because you can chat! There is nothing more special than downtime with someone you love. It was great that you had a great break, wonderful weather and great food! I look forward to tours on your parents' gardens. I think if everyone did gardening there would be no depression. I love how savage your mom is trying to expose you in the beginning. I can tell you have a really strong relationship and its very cute. Makes me miss my mom and I bantering. Hi ladies! I don’t know how you passed up on that adorable wicker rocking chair and the matching loveseat, then there was another adult sized wicker set at the other place. I love white wicker furniture. And that green chandelier would have been nice for your garden shed. Those paper cones were usually found out by the gas pumps for when the guy at the full service gas station checked your oil and it needed some. He would check all the fluids and even clean your windshield while filling the tank. Gas was about 35 cents a gallon plus you got full service! All the extras were free, so you usually tipped the attendant. I loved the stacked stone and picket fence at your Mom’s! I’m all about putting in permanent stuff these days.

Laura is so very blessed! This video causes so many emotions for me. One minute I am smiling, then I'm laughing, the next minute I am crying! I would give almost anything to have my precious MOM😥 I miss her dearly! A favorite for my two boys when they were small and my g-son too was Beatrix Potter's - Peter Rabbit. We would read that book almost every single night at bedtime.I have a very old copy. The binding and the photos are absolutely stunning! The sketches in her books were actually from the views of her Early 1700's Hilltop Cottage and her many gardens at Hilltop. Even the stone pathways. Her cottage gardens are still kept up and beautiful to this very day! I was screaming buy that book, you must buy Peter Rabbit Laura and read it nightly to Benjamin and Samantha😁 It is so sweet when just one small simple thing takes you all the way back to your childhood. Thank You Laura for taking me back to my childhood, my boys childhood and my precious 12yr young g-son Elijah. Blessing to you all. I pray you have a great day.
