I remember seeing the trailer on tv back in middle school and it scared me shitless, I couldn’t ever find the name name till I just saw it on Netflix definitely not what I was expecting
Tom - yet another film I never even heard of but your theory and presentation are quite interesting. I see the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. How about tackling Naked Lunch, The Brood🤢🤢, Existenz, Dead Ringers-based on ‘Twins’ or even The Fly (tied with The Thing as best horror remake) or any more straight forward ones like The Dead Zone👏🙏
I’ll add them to the list but the one I remember most vividly was the brood. You could tell David Cronenberg was coming off a divorce when making that one.
@@TomTheCurator WOW that’s a very deep and probable explanation for The Brood. All I remember about Naked Lunch was Peter Weller and the talking typewriter and big roach LOL EXistenz was his last original body horror and I remember the cast and being confused and grossed out and a surprising twist. Not all that much else. Not to analyze but I recommend a revisit of The Dead Zone / beautiful and sad S. King adaptation 😂💋
@@TomTheCurator Tom, Dead Ringers is underrated if you ask me, you should probably see it eventually, it deserves a review, even if you won't like it as much as me.
A strange film ahead of its time from 2012 into 2022. For a early attempt by Brandon Cronenberg it’s a unique simile from his father’s ideologue in film.
