@beauwalker9820 no. Pizza tower started releasing betas since 2018, summitsphere released antonball (the original anton game) in 2019 and a deluxe version in 2021, and the kickstarter for antonblast was made in 2022. I like both games a lot, but pizza tower did come first.

It didn't sell enough to lead into Wario Land 6..... @pugman Yeah people say there's a "clear demand" for it but the thing is that Wario Land was always a niech spin off of Mario in a see of Mario spin offs, and all these die hard Wario Land fans that want more Wario Land make up only a fraction of the overall gaming community. To think that this "clear demand" would guarantee sales of a proper Wario Land revival is absurd, at best the wider gaming community would just not even notice it, at worse they'd write it off as Nintendo trying to copy Pizza Tower.

The more Wario Land, the better. As someone who grew up on Shake It, and was so sad when Nintendo never made a new entry afterwards, Pizza Tower, AntonBlast, Susan Taxpayer and more are so, so nice to finally have. I knew about Anton Blast around the same time when the Pizza Tower trailer first came out. If you’re out there claiming that Anton Blast is a clone then you’re stupid. I’d say Pizza tower is mostly based on Wario land 4 with its emphasis on speed but still takes inspirations from other Games in the series. While ANTONBLAST is more inspired off of Virtual Boy Wario land, with of course Happy Hour being based of Wario land 4 and also having more exploration like in the Wario land II.

they mean to say that this game series has been in development since before Pizza Tower, as the prequel AntonBall released during Pizza Towers' early development. AntonBlast started development when Pizza Tower was in late development.

Please remember to respect both of the developers of this and the Pizza Tower game, and to NOT compare them to each other in a negative way Each of these games is unique in their own way and the devs have worked really really hard for this. So, anyone that is complaining and whining about this "not being Pizza Tower" Just stop it. Neither of these games should be compared just to find out "who is superior" or "who did it first" (which also Pizza Tower didn't, since it just grabbed an old gameplay formula and gave it something of his, to spice things up, which is something Anton is also doing) Just enjoy both of these games and let the others do the same, without complaining please?

You can compare them and talk about the good things but saying stuff like that is just uncalled for. so apparently ppl on twitter (glad I don't use it) are calling this a pizza tower clone, and I wanna set the record straight. so not only are they both inspired by wario land 4, but the devs are pretty chill with each other. oh and also, just a tiny little thing that isn't important to the comparison at all... the satan's choice pizza in pizza tower is literally a straight up reference to anton, and peppino is a playable character in antonball. i would not be shocked if the noise just showed up for a level for kicks lol but yea anyway excited to play it! played the first demo and it was awesome, guess i gotta boot this demo up to see how much it's changed

It’s also far more expensive even for the cheapest one and doesn’t have nearly as big an install base as the Switch. So no, buying a Steam deck just to play Pizza Tower is not worth it at all and as for playing other Steam games, you know that’s dependent entirely on the model of Steam deck in question, right?

I was a huge fan of Pizza Tower ever since I played the SAGE demo, and played the final release several times + the Noise Update ever since the game came out. I tried the first demo for this game and it definitely feels a lot different than Pizza Tower. These are two really unique (and really fun) games that stand out in both art style and gameplay despite being based off the exact same source material, the Wario Land series. People shouldn’t be giving this game crap just because it’s being released after Pizza Tower.

That Devil sounds so much like John DiMaggio it wouldnt surprise me if it was him lol If not then huge props to the person who actually is voice acting said character & should get a look at being nominated for best voice actor in a video game for any gaming award show (i know it was only a small part in the trailer but he killed it with only thst lil amount of time shown i can only imagine the rest of his lines if he has anymore lol)

@@wigglytuffenjoyer What do you mean? Just because it's not as strong as other consoles doesn't mean it's not still powerful in its own right, and Pizza Tower's a 2D game made with Game Maker. If Switch can run Deltarune, Rivals of Aether, Hyper Light Drifter, and Risk of Rain, it can definitely run Pizza Tower. It's not power that's the issue, but McPig just not wanting to do it.
