Likewise, and for simlar "balanced" reasons, when the lady uses her chest register, it also doesn't sound like her synchromesh has landed on a motorway at 120 kph!
You can feel when the music is too heavy for you, and you can also feel when it’s too light. There’s really no excuse to sing this aria if you’re not the right voice for it. Thankfully, there are still great examples like this from the past.
