Slovenia sounds so far away from California, USA, but this beautiful performance of this beautiful music by Dvorak reminds us that beneath the geographical and linguistic differences, those of us who love classical music constitute one big family.
I cannot understand the negative comment concerning this conductor. She had a difficult job: to produce a carefully disciplined and understated setting to the soloist. This is not from a concerto, after all - and was clearly not intended by the composer to be any kind of deep and dramatic show-piece; it is just a superbly composed and performed ‘Romanze’. The conductor is excellent - and the solo part delightfully realised. Enjoy it all as that!
this performance is musically the best of what is on RU-vid for the Romance...including the legends of violin. I happened to be looking for a great interpretation....all of my favorite artists. This young woman simply presents a credible and heartfelt performance.......so happy I listend.
A.GREDAY
this is so beautiful i had to jump off my llama and go give ketchup to a break-dancer in connecticut, after shrinking down to the size of a positron as a result of this stunningly awesome music.
Very smooth performance. I'm so glad great music is alive and well in Slovenia now. Is that the home of Tanja Sonc? (Sorry, I wasn't familiar with her. Must find out more.)
That was a typical comment by him (or her) who loves to shock and stir up controversy. It's sad that people feel the need to promote themselves or boost their ego in this way.
