It seems you are also blind please read my comment again I was not being racist. I merely pointed out a historical fact. Your reply does not contradict my statement. Moreover, colour-blind casting is not traditional. So I don't see the relevance of your "welcome to the 21 st century" comment.

well actually you cannot prove she was white. nobody can especially considering her mother may have been Egyptian. Furthermore shakespeare described Cleopatra as tawny which is brown. and this is shakespeare's play..

One must not forget that this is of little importance in assessing the legacy of the queen in world history. Although she was born in Africa to a line of Egyptian kings, this line was established by Patolomey I, a Macedonian Greek. So, her paternal line was Macedonian, short by 6 generations to be pure. It is with Cleopatra’s grandfather that uncertainties develop. Although he had two wives of traditional Macedonian background, he seems to have had at least one concubine of uncertain origin, who may have been Cleopatra’s grandmother. But this is by no means clear, and some sources indicate she was her husband’s sister, and thus pure Macedonian. Moreover, twany is a common word used to describe Mediterranean races, used by Guissepe Sergi and even Christopher Columbus himself when describing people of the Canary Island. Also, Greek historians, as you seem to know, will describe Greek and Mediterranean boys as light at young age, darker as they mature, specifically accentuating differences with their natural enemies, from up north.
