As I understand it it was during his research of old koryu he discovered there were still living descendants of this particular sword style, a family that held all the documents. He went to them and asked permission to resurrect the old school n bring it alive again and they said he yes. And off he went to create uniforms n flags n all the documentation he needed to restart this old family sword school. Of course new you tube videos for each step of this were posted, asking viewers which uniforms were the best looking etc. I think a true martial artist would never even disclose that he was doing all that. He'd have gone off to study someone you'd never know who he was. But in this day of likes n constant attention he went very public. It's not the true way. But it's not against the law to be foolish....
