I would not know, I am not an antenna expert plus your terrain is unknown. I would recommend using one of the websites that map your address and lets you know which channels you can get.

Not an expert, but the antenna man would probably say that you needed a huge outdoor antenna(one that rotated). I kind of thought my situation was bad with all stations less than 55 miles away(almost all within 50), but trees everywhere here*. But, his setup(this YTuber) is almost certainly ideal being only 20 miles away(don't know his terrain, though). If I can get an antenna perform pretty well, then I could hit the jackpot and get 40-50 channels. However, years ago, this house(was my granny's house) always had an outside antenna. I am trying to avoid that prospect if I can, because I am not tool savvy at all(esp when it comes to semi-hard projects) nor do I own them more than the basic tools nor a ladder... *The above distance is not that bad, but--with the trees, too--you need a pretty good antenna. I bought a better than average indoor antenna and was only able to pick up 1 station(5 channels). That one station is about 30 miles away.

I would assume it would work well there, I know the person who also commented is from Florida and he mentioned getting a lot of channels. I talked with Antop yesterday and they are supposed to send me out a couple more to test and I live much further from towers now, around 45-50 miles as well.

@@heia633 thanks for the follow, they just emailed me, should be getting them this next week. I just need to figure out mounting but I will test a couple of different ways including using it as an indoor.

Yes they can, I am not sure how great the signal is compared to being on the roof but a lot of people put them in the attic.

@@weloveurickey just have to run the coax if its not already. In an old home I just ran a coax through a wall. Some homes have all their cable lines running in the attic.

the roof is always best but if u can the attic might be ok but never better then the roof

It was mostly flat there, I lived in the Vancouver/Portland metro region at the time of this video.

I may have to keep researching this matter further, because I live in a rural tree filled area with every tower being within a 55 miles radius(most less than 50 miles away according to Antop). But, tall buildings can mimick trees to some degree and I have seen one reviewer that lived in a tree area have major success. Plus, the target cities in my radius do not have tall buildings or mountains in the terrain to further compound my tree problem. I guess what has my hopes up is that I could easily pick up a station that is about 30 miles away(considered a moderate station but not strong) with a lesser antenna recently and this Antop is supposed to be a better VHF model than the predecessors(or so Antop claims). I am seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on this one. It's between the Clearstream 4V, CS 4Max, or AT-800SBS in all likelihood...

@@pattrell5257 Hard to say since my experience is limited to just a few I have tested from Antop in the area. I have heard Clearstream is pretty good too. Antop has performed pretty decent, I still have a couple of them but still trying to figure out mounting at the new location since I rent. If you buy it from Amazon then you get an easy return at least.
