A spiritted ride from Larne to Ballycastle, also known as the Antrim Coast Road. A personal favourite of mine and also of riders all across the country who travel this road every year en route to the North West 200 Motorcycle Races.
We did a trip from Scotland over to do the Antrim coast up to Portrush then down to Ballymoney. I was on my tuned gsx14.....awesome roads...will be back in 2023....such a great place for bike riding..!!!!
Hi there, really enjoyed your video of the coastal ride, I ride and drive this road a few times a week as I live in the area. You seem to have really enjoyed the run and don’t hang about. Every week that goes by seems to bring more southern registration hire cars and tourists to the coast and I’ve noticed quite a few stopping randomly to take in some of the views of the cliffs and mountains while driving north without any indication of doing so and also stopping in very unsafe areas of the road. Please understand that I’m not trying to lecture you in any way, I just want others that see this video to be very aware that this road like many others has a multitude of potential boobytrap situations that can arise without any warning. Many Heavy Goods Vehicles and farm vehicles also use it regularly. I watched your excellent review on your ZX 9 and enjoyed it also. Looking forward to seeing more of your rides ( excellent sound also) 👍. WATCH FOR MOTORCYCLES ALWAYS !! 👌
I wish you had filmed the whole route including the towns and villages, I've many times squeezed the throttle along these fifty miles plus Antrim Coast Road run. It's not that we are disrespectful to the road speed limit laws, it's just what these roads make you do.
Lovely road, but you should work on that choppy throttle hand and cornering in particular. Look forward to finally riding this next year! Did it loads when I was younger but in a car.
Excellent, bike sounds epic. I have an F2P which I am in the process of getting up and running, she's been sitting and the carbs are silted up. Hope to get her running for 2023.
