I think it would be easier and more effective to wet a small piece of bread with this mixture and use it for the ants to carry them to their nests.

I used this method. The ants were really tiny and the colony must have been very big because there were a lot of ants all over the kitchen. It took over a week before no ants returned. I used pill bottles but found that the soft bottles didn't work because the ants were unable to climb them. The hard plastic bottles worked fine.

FRIENDLY REMINDER: Please po sa mga gustong magtry, pa cool down po muna konti yung hot water before e shake. Makukulob kasi yung mainit na tubig baka pagshake e pumutok at tumilapon yung cap ng bottle e mapaso po kayo. ☺

Thanks Slater, this recipe works very well. I started using it last year and was able to eliminate the ant infestation. We set out traps at different areas of our house wherever we could see they were coming in from. It took a few months but it was well worth it! Just be sure to change out the mixture every few days to a week, it can get filled up with the dead ants that ended up drowning in the mixture. The sooner you start the better! I just started noticing a few ants around our sink area so I will be making up our jar today!

I did exactly what was on the video. Placed about 6 in the backyard where I saw ants last year. Checked a week later. The containers that I placed on the garden soil and two on the mulch around bushes and trees had maybe 100 baby ants inside. I couldn’t believe it. Finally something works great. I do it differently , one teaspoon of borax and four teaspoons of sugar and just enough water to mix it so the mixture is granulated so the ants can carry it back to their colony hoping the queen eats it and die

Thanks for the tip, IT WORKS! It worked really well with black ants. They really just go in as soon as I place them any where there is the line of black ants. Most of the time they go right in and often die inside the bottle. The smaller black ants on the other often die outside the bottle. Every morning I see them scattered on the floor dead already. It seems to work with red ants too, but takes quite a bit of time for it to work. When I placed them in yard near their ant hill, red ants often coat the hole with sediment that connects to their hill. When the sediment is in place already, the march of the red ants to the bottle start. This takes more than a week and a half. If this happens, I often see them dead inside. A lot of them. But takes time. If I place this inside the house near that red ant line, I only see a few of them getting inside and also only very few see floating dead inside. Haba na nito. Haha.

This is very life saving life hack! It's been a life long problem in house that the ant's are almost everywhere because my father love to breed birds and their thing attracts colony of ants. You got my subs and notification bell sir! 👍🏻

My recipe is peanut butter and borax. The cheap peanut butter you can buy at a local panaderia. 1 cup of peanut butter and 5 teaspoon of borax, 5 because the borax doesn't gwt diluted and you have to mix it very well.

Great idea, thanks, will try this. Does this work for large ants as well? Suggest to label bottles, just to know what they are and to avoid inadvertent ingestion or exposure to possibly toxic substances. I know you said that it's not really toxic since the amount of borax is so little, but I think it's good practice to label everything. Keep out of reach from children! 😊

When it comes to killing pests, your best bet is boric acid (readily available on Lazada). Borax should not be used as a pesticide, though some people confuse the two or think they are the same. Borax can kill pests, though it is not nearly as effective as boric acid. You will often find boric acid used in pesticides. You can do the same thing, without the heat, with jelly or syrup and boric acid.
