If I recall the last discussion Anu and Anuj had before separation, most of the conversation was around why Anu doesn’t value Anuj’s and Choti’s presence in her life, more than Shah’s. That was a valid point raised and Anu never showed her prioritization in her actions, towards Anuj and Choti. She always said that she loves them the most. But her actions were mostly the opposite, may be intentionally or unintentionally. Anuj stood by Anu in most of the situations, just supporting her decisions and supporting her actions/wishes. In that process, he got humiliated, insulted several times, but never complained. He was angry or lost his cool only when Anu was insulted by the Shah’s After all this, after explaining her multiple times to balance out, draw a line, Anu never mended her ways… a person has a limit to tolerate. Anuj also had a threshold and on that fatal day, he lost it. He might have said a few things which were harsh. But doesn’t Anu know her Anuj. That he’s a well balanced person but when he sees his Anu or Choti hurt or insulted by others, that is the time he loses it. So many times he went against his own family to support Anu and Choti. In this entire situation, Anu was definitely at fault, more than Anuj. And then rather than sitting and sitting the issues and misunderstandings, she walked away from Her loving husband and her 7year old child? Why was that 7yr old punished?

So if now Anuj wants answers because he is clearly stuck on that day 5 years back, why doesn’t Anu talk with him maturely, talk it out clearly, and set him free? That’s how mature people work. They both are 50+ and not little kids. We don’t know the background yet as to how Shruti got into Anuj’s life and got engaged. Without knowing the background story, you cannot blame anyone as to why and how he’s staying with Shruti and still thinking about Anu. Several times it has been shown that Anuj had clearly told Shruti that he doesn’t love her and never will. Shruti can clearly see that Anuj gets uncomfortable with the talks of marriage, even when he was unaware that Anu is in US. Can’t she sense that Anuj doesn’t want to? If she truly loves Anuj, by now she should’ve known that Anuj will do anything for Choti and that’s why he’s stuck. Why is she still sticking on to him or pushing him for marriage? She herself is not a kid and matured enough to understand what Anuj wants and what he’s comfortable in.
