I have always told my kids that Sri Lankan history, told right, would be as interesting as Game of Thrones, except with Elephants instead of Dragons. So happy you guys are finally telling it the way it should be told! Also, Queen Anula is Cersei Lannister if GRRM had imagined her without any redeeming qualities :-)

Woah, Sri Lankan history is absolutely mental. Also if I’m not wrong, didn’t Anuradhapura outlast the Western Roman Empire by a few centuries? I’m glad you’re making this content for us in the west who don’t know much about the history of your part of the world

That's correct. The Western Roman empire (I think) fell in the 400's A.D. The kingdom of Anuradhapura lasted until 1017.

Love the flow of the story and the overall narrative and great visuals, but towards the end found the visuals a bit too wordy (the comic relief aspect was a nice touch but while listening to the narration a little hard to concentrate on a lot of words), and the still frames towards the end gave a bit of a vacant feeling, little visual cues (like simple animations) would have been a nice touch! but overall what you guys are doing is amazing! ✨✨✨

Hi Faadhil, thanks for your comment! There aren't any records of her birth year, especially since she's been described as 'not of noble birth'.🙄 A reasonable assumption is that she was no more than 30 years (given the typical age of consorts) and the time between hers and Choranagha's death.

A leading speculation from historians at the moment (and has been for the past 50 years or so) is the that of Kalinga and Odisha being the birthplace of the Sinhala lineage.
