Late Guru DR.Debeprasad Das, one of the founding father of Odissi Dance, Which was reshaped in post independent India, a pioneer and instrumental in establishing the Odissi as one of the most
influential classical dance forms world wide. He was the first and foremost guru to teach and
popularize Odissi globally. Guru Debaprsad
apart being a dance and a dance. His innovative thinking and imaginative mindset are reflected in his own unique style. conferred a National Professor of Dance by the Biswas Unnayan Sansada of West Bengal.For his significant contributiin in the field of Odishi Dane He received the Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy Award during the year 1977.
