I'm from Toronto and lived near robbo..and lips..hung with them back n forth to the studio for the plugged in permanent album..what a wild ride..the shows too..up amd close and personal..phenomenal guy's..humble..there's more I can say..that's about 12 books..lol..and we're still tight thanks to the digital world ..Will see them soon..they're still going strong..what an Inspiration..
Love the double kicks during the solo. Robbo still smashing the tubs like it's 1981! Long live the mighty Anvil. Can't wait for the next UK tour, one of the best club shows you'll ever see, guaranteed!
Anvil has always been one of my favorite bands since I was a child, and today with this song, a wife, a job, dreams, business, a hard life and work but thanks to Anvil everything has It has been very satisfying, nowadays I see all the high school losers who are nothing and I have come much further thanks to Heavy Metal 🤩🤩
@@lipsanvil1453 Saw you guys tonight in Vienna VA and holy shit what a great show! both bands. Thanks for the pictures after the show before hitting the road. You're some cool dudes! Keep on Rockin'
Was a fan as soon as I heard Bedroom Games back in high school. School Love, Backwaxed, etc. It's criminal how Anvil, Armored Saint and countless other REAL bands were never promoted but so much lame-ass music got the spotlight. Anvil deserved so much better. BTW, really like the new material. It's got the attitude I've always liked about Anvil.
Really well written song. Lyrics cut the throats of nay sayers and haters...understandably in our world of negativity where people are jealous of others successes and frustrated with their own failures!! Musically more complexities than you realize at first. Not thrash and more in line with Metal on Metal type of riffage. All round excellent..congratulations Anvil ya did it again!!
First seen you guys back in the 80s & many shows since. Most recently with my son a few years back at This Ain't Hollywood in the Hammer. Long live Anvil. 🤘🏻
Fck yeah. Anvil rules 1 of the greatest metal bands ever. I'm glad to c they r finally being recognized as the great band that they r and there newest album shows there greatness. Cheers from the US.
Take A Lesson Is An Absolutely Awesome Spectacular Great Straight Up KickAss Rock N Roll Song By ANVIL And Totally Rocks It Needs To Be Fully Cranked Up All The Way To Full Maximum Volume.

Pre-tour stops ? Belleville ? Perth ? Peterborough ? Nothing tops seeing Anvil play in a small venue, not much money in it I know lol, but a great fan experience. Two great metal songs can't wait for the album.
You know in the 2009 documentary how ANVIL was trying to get signed to a major label, then decided to release This is Thirteen themselves? I met the guys in Anvil and told them they're better off. No one can take that away from them. I bet that saved them lots of headaches. You have to like what you do. Never mind making a fast buck.
I have huge respect for them on longevity and work ethics and some solid songs but let's face it, the songs and lyrics aren't phenomenal. I'm not dissing! It's what it is. I think what they've done is bigger than their musical output, they've manged to get to a point where they can play shows with smiles on their faces and have people supporting them. On top of that they're an inspiration.
Who are you to say that a band sold out because they did what they wanted or made the music that they wanted and followed their own path just because it doesn't fit your agenda? Can't stand elitist like you
Just want to be honest: I didnt like the vocals on 'Ghost Shadow' but 'Take A Lesson' fits Lips style way better - in my humble opinion ;) rock on guys! hope I can see u live in Berlin (concert in Decembre 2021 was cancelled :( )
@@SatanStoleMyDevilHorns That' comment is so millennial. I talk by experience (40+) not by typing, like this current generation does. Someone have an argument with me? That's ok... once dares to have contact... the message sent to me is not keep taking. Probably you do the same as in the video, that's on you boy.
@@SatanStoleMyDevilHorns I TYPED (like it now?) that was so millennial, not declared you are one...in plain english: mentally millennial. That about talking but not do anything is an urban legend many believe and trust (especially tall guys), and the reason to have a few times to demonstrate the opposite. See, when the time comes, I ask for keep distance and no contact, so people are aware of the warn and there's no excuse to play victim and accused me of assault. Just trying to be an example of not back down or get intimidated. Also teach the abusive one that they not always win.
I have liked this band since the 80s. Their music is vintage, it sounds like a "new" release from 1983, but with much better production. I've always liked Lipps' guitar work, and he comes up with some EPIC riffs. I have always thought that he should either be the lead singer, or lead guitar, not both. It was like Triumph, where the lead guitarist and the drummer took turns as lead vocals. Or even Winger... Lemmy pulled it off because, well, he was Lemmy. It always felt like they were trying to save money by not having an extra person in the band (and maybe that's the case with Anvil). No hate at all, just my observation. Anvil is one of the few bands that I'll go out of my way to buy a physical disc or album, instead of just listening on a streaming service. They deserve my $ for the years of great music.
This would be a great tool for the police to use to get a confession, if you play anything from this so called band, the criminal will quickly confess just so he doesn't have to listen to 1 more second of this crap,
