Seeing this I remember how I enjoyed playing with my voice on this song by Chip Taylor. Loving thanks to Lynn Dorton for sending me this recording! / melaniesafka
🙋♂️ Melanie, please make a mug on teespring or somewhere and post it under your RU-vid videos so, we can show our love with our dollars. I know money never replaces great human to human conversation and contact but it helps. And I want my official 2020 Melanie mug!
My super-cool high school art teacher (c. 1969-71) was a huge Melanie fan and played her records constantly in his room, renamed "The Cave of Meditation." One of the few good high school memories.
I remember the troggs doing this number. I liked it then but I love Melanies version even better. It never ceases to amaze me how she covers other artists songs and I think, that’s how that should’ve been done in the first place. 😉
There was a time around 1970 when I had three albums and on Friday nights we would play them and turn on. They were Benefit (Tull), Joe Cocker, and Candles in the Rain, Melanie. I loved Melanie so much that I learned how to play the acoustic guitar and sing her songs.
Great number Melanie - thanks for posting - the sun is beginning to shine down on South London as you sing - much appreciated - hope all is well with you and family - cheers
Makes me so happy to see this beautiful song posted up on your channel. It’s an honor that I could play such a small part! I love you forever Melanie!!!! Lynn Dorton ❤️😘🕊
Such a gift, love to share, lovely to feel your voice. Thanks for helping me make it through this day, so far... so good. Try & recall the laughter that past to light the future with a smile ~that lasts. was it all smoke & mirrors shattered after all that matter's vaporized? love laughter & scattered ashes
Seems our shared time at Strawberry Fields in Toronto 50 years ago has created a resurrection of your wonderful voice filling the house once again . . . the festival and wonderful performer that just keep on giving. Thanks for being. Peace for ALL Species.
I've loved Melanie's singing for over 50 years, and I don't think I've ever seen her (or anyone else) enjoy singing as much as in this clip. It's just wonderful.
