ANYCUBIC 3d printer: Upload the firmware via Cura 

Hi Paul, I have the same problem as you, do u fix it update with Cura 4.0?

I've been told thats the firmware version of the controller, and not the actual 3d printer, and to check the printer you need to check via a terminal

Even the model it says they are 'upgrading' is a Prusa printer..I am trying to figure out an issue with my chiron though...

got the same problem did you find an answer?

@@giuseppecambria1593 I don't have. But I don't need them anymore, I solved the problems myself. After a few improvements, the printer prints better than most of the things I've seen on the internet. First of all, the problem with the extruder, too little power, the rack was jumping, it was a problem with overheating stepstick - I raised the voltage of the stepstick to 0.9, and significantly increased cooling of the electronics (powerful 80mm fan). I changed the Teflon pipe for better quality, now the filament passes more freely. And an important matter. In a slicer, retraction must be set to 0.2 (maximum). Print speed for very good quality is 40 (general), but the printer can do a lot more;)

Hi Be Blissful! Anycubic make the printer, which has a computer board inside it that executes the 'firmware' on that board (a bit like a PC BIOS). It works the machine and communicates with the SD card with the 'gcode' files that say what to build, something like a knitting pattern, or it talks to a PC or similar personal device which can load the 'gcode' and other stuff directly - this is good, if it works reliably. Slicing software usually runs on a PC or something similar and it takes the design file from your design software (CAD program), often in STL format and translates it into the 'gcode' that will drive the printer. CURA by Ultimaker is a good choice of slicer imho, and it is free. Hi Karl, in the settings the video resolution can be modified to HD.

The mega will show V1.1.0 Version after you upload the firmware.

@@ANYCUBIC3D why? if the firmware never shows it has changed how do you know if it has worked?
