I used to do inside solar sales and had a buddy lose a sale AFTER the guy had signed all of the documents, because he refused to get installed until we put EMP protection on the panels 😂. That lady just reminded me of it lolol

Hi. For a solar sales rep, is that the same as being an independent contractor? If so, how can you as a sales rep or independent contractor get a high commission?

yes, it's a 1099 (independent contractor), solar is a high ticket item, commissions are not capped, you price according to the cost per kilowatt, and what type of contract the rep has with the dealer or installer directly. It's a bit complex but I don't know what do you consider a "High commission", is it 2k or 10k or 20k per deal. I personally have a minimum I don't go bellow unless I see potential to get more business, I work hard and this is my job, I have skills and I price accordingly.
