I thought that I had commented here before, but I guess not. (I think this video is posted more than once on RU-vid.) This is, in my opinion, the best performance of this song EVER, BY ANY ARTIST. Wynonna gets all of the inflections just right. When I listen to other renditions by other singers, there is always a moment or two when I think the word or note wasn't sung quite right. I don't experience that at all, not even once, when I listen to this. I was never a fan of Wynonna Judd's, but that has changed. Amazing voice. Every note is nuanced, unlike some renditions in which a lot of the notes sound flat. There is such richness to this woman's voice! I will say that there is one other performance here on RU-vid that comes close -- a performance by Linda Ronstadt on a television show when she was a little older. But this performance is still better. What an incredible vocal instrument this woman has, and what incredible timing! For enriching my life with this performance (of one of my very favorite songs), I love you!
Very nice! Her voice automatically gives the song a totally different sound. I had to Google what event this was and now I wonder if I ever saw this Burt Bacharach tribute show! So thank you for posting this, really enjoyed listening to Wynonna sing this lovely song. Burt was one of our great songwriters!
