So pride in your children's achievements? Pride in appearance? Pride in your successes? Do you not have any of these aspects or virtues? None of that is especially wrong or harmful. What is wrong is being immodest, self congratulatory and boastful, which is quite different. There you may be setting yourself up for a fall. When someone neglects to take care of themselves, .....what do you tend to say about them? Not all "pride" is an affront to God. Or would you say they are closer to God? I've often heard that said about alcoholics, when they are at their lowest. The real source of "capital sins" is covetousness. Being jealous of other's achievements. I would put that far higher. We all want what someone else has. It is the driver for a lot else. Theft, murder....

I went to a grammer school and sex education didn't happen until 13 years of age. That should be mandoratory in all schools. By then we knew who were the insane teachers and who were the sane ones.

Kids know nothing of gender, because it's really not that important. I was a m/f twin and nobody gave a hoot.

Why would parents teach their children about something recently made up? Gender up until very recently used to be interchangeable for 'sex', and was often preferred as it was a politer word. In other words it's the same thing, and even very young children know the difference between boys and girls. What is there to teach?
