Highly unlikely. Based on what I gathered, the manga was only published digitally on Shonen Jump + (Manga Plus on international) and the anime pretty much adapted it all (yes, the cliffhanger ending was in the original manga). Even if Netflix somehow wants a second season so badly, I seriously doubt the money necessary to produce said second season would be worth it.

@@mutluson8830 Havent been announced, they probably didnt expect a season 2, thats why the ending felt a bit rushed i think, plus the "to be continued" had a question mark. But the series really blew up so they gotta make a season 2, right?

Yknow, that's a common thing I've noticed about comedies like this. From my point of view, they always hit you with some unexpected developments from characters to some out of nowhere feels.

They handled Riri perfectly he was annoying as fuck, but that made all the more satisfying and funny when Anzu would smack him around, but then his development makes you really root for him and appreciate his growth. Definitely one of my favorite characyers behind Anzu

It won't be exactly the same but I recommend Tomo-Chan is a girl! or OreGairu both are in the romance genre and are very good.

I disagree. The story resolved only when Anzu grew up to think about life beyond her three great loves and expanded her friend group to include the potential love interests. And really it only finished when that friend group also included Riri/Riho so that the comedic mood wouldn't be destroyed with the irrational corporation of wizards wouldn't be punishing someone permanently (when I say irrational, I mean in the Northrop Frye literary critic sense of the word as in a comedy there's always some blocking humor imposing an irrational law of some sort and upending normal society). From a classical comedic sense, the story is over when a community is birthed. The birth of a community is the focus of a classical comedy. Traditionally it's a community centered around a young couple and ensuing pairs of other lovers paired off (the assumption being that the community will prosper and continue onward with the couples having children once the story ends), but sometimes that community can be about a family or friend group coming together instead of lovers. The pair of young lovers birthing a new community is just the oldest trope in the book of both eastern and western cultures. Usually the birth of a community is celebrated with a communal dance, or a marriage, or a feast of some kind--but in this particular story such a celebration would be over the top, and instead it's celebrated with the characters all walking to school together as a new community of friends and potential love interests. Now would I love the story to continue? Sure, but at this point it's ended properly.

I would love a second season and for the animators to make original content. This would give them more creative freedom and they could pull off a good ending

But it's hard to said if the season will be as good as s1 as it is not based on manga anymore, unless there is a genius in plot making between the animators or the author want to help in the making of s2.

There's a clip on youtube called "gintama explains fillers", you should watch it. The gist is, once an anime catches up with the manga, they need to make filler. Now from here 3 things can happen: 1. Filler slows down the anime, and then the anime can start doing things according to the manga again 2. Filler doesn't slow down the anime enough and the anime joins the manga storyline only to catch up again and stary producing filler 3. Filler slows down the anime too much, the anime derails and now has a different story, character personalities have changed, and it can't join the flow of the manga anymore Although I guess this is more of a problem for ongoing anime that needs 1 episode every week.

Ask the Author to make original together. Maybe story about Yukina and Kate because Yukina is the only character without development in this season.
