AOA is a 3rd Gen group not 2nd. There’s usually a 6-7 yrs gap between generations. 1st Gen : 1997 - 2003 - Pioneer Era 2nd Gen : 2003 - 2009 - Golden Era/Hallyu Wave 3rd Gen : 2010 - 2016 - Digital Era 4th Gen : 2017 -
@@beyondtherevolution6904 sorry but AOA is 2nd generation, the generation of the boys is different of the girls, the boys debuted first thats means that their generation starting before and the girls debuted last, the generation for the girls: 1st generation: 1997-2003 2nd generation: 2004-2012 3rd generation: 2013-2018 4th generation: 2019-present
@@m12c41 that’s not a thing, AOA has always been a 3rd Gen group, bg and gg having “different generations” is not a thing, that’s sexist / sex segregation, it’s utter bs and make no sense.
@@beyondtherevolution6904 No, I don't know how explained this bc I no speaking English very well but the generation of boys is always before than the girls, they debuted before any girl that's bc the generecion starting before, search well about this.
@@m12c41 I’ve been listening to Kpop for more than 15+ years and for all those years that has never been a thing. The only ones trying to make that into a “thing” are a few random people on random websites / public forum. Even the idols themselves don’t separate bg and gg generations. An example is episode 1 of the new audition show R U Next, KARA’s Gyuri and 2AM’s Jo Kwon talked about it and being in the same generation, Gyuri didn’t say “what boy group generation are you in?” Or Jo Kwon didn’t say “what girl group generation are you in?”, Gyuri asked one question and that’s “What Generation are you in?” And Jo Kwon responded with something like “we’re in the same generation”. That’s not an actual thing, people just made that up, bgs and ggs have always have the same generations. Send a reliable link if you’re so adamant about it being true, not a public forum or random website but an actual reliable website. And even with random and unreliable websites almost all of those don’t separate bg and gg generations, they’re included together not separate.
Y’all are reminding how controversial gen2 was. OH MANNN girl groups we’re out here testing the boundaries in terms of sex appeal. AOA was def one of them. But to this day I think Girls Day song Something holds the title. You guys ain’t ready for it 😂
Lmao i was like wow what is this and all until i heard the drop and was like "Noege SaPpUn sApPuN gEoReOga" starting to do the dance 😭✋🏼the song is so iconic but my brain just not braining lmaoooooo
Yes 2nd generation kpop like this, tried to emulate America and were more risky. But they realised class actually sold better so songs became more modest as BTS and Blackpink began to rise

It’s such a shame aoa doesn’t make music anymore, unfortunately they had quite a rough end. one of the members Mina accused another member Jimin of bullying there were a bunch of crazy allegations and Mina pulled it along for a long time until dispatch revealed some background info revealing Mina also to be at fault. It ended up being one of the biggest bullying scandals in kpop and the groups name and members images were dragged in the mud as a result, nowadays some of the members are doing well and active in other areas, Seolhyun as an actor, Chanmi making an appearance in queendoms puzzle, Choa in her RU-vid channel and Jimin has even made a return to the music industry. Still I enjoy listening to their music, I’d recommend some other songs such as heart attack, excuse me, good luck and bing bing.
