0:38 one of the hardest lines in AOE3, the only other one that comes close is "I have learned much from you, colonel. But it is clear you have learned nothing from me." in the India campaign.

I easily got through this mission by building lots of trading posts near the cannon, plus a fort from the metropolis. I've barely created any army. The cannon attacked the fountian until it got destroyed and I didn't have to worry from defending from the attacks

Damn, all missions on DE are much easier than on the original, I beat this one easily on hard, while the original I had a really hard time trying to win this scenario

Yeah the original version is insanely difficult and much more like AOE II

just put 5 mortars on the empty small island beside the fountain and build 3 outpost there.

Do you play at an easy difficulty level? Ground troops should be coming at you from above, but they are not there. If you were forced to spend resources not only on ships and peasants, but also on troops, then you would feel what a real battle is.
