This Aonach Eagach ridge walk in Glencoe takes in the two munros of Meall Dearg and Sgorr nam Fiannaidh. Conditions were ideal and allowed a relaxing scramble along the ridge travelling east to west.
It doesn't get much better than this....

Euan Taylor Hi Charlie and Mike. Soloed this when I was 30 after several aborted attempts. Remember the down climb from Am Bodach as something less complex. But that was half a century ago so probably it wasn’t. Love your editing and gentle manner. Had a fabulous day on Stuc an Lochain last week though a haze kinda spoiled the stunning views across the moor. (Note your daughter is keeping an eye on you mine does too! Cheers

I've done this ridge 3 times myself, including twice on the chancellor, once in the rain, and once with a descent of the clachaig gully 'path' at the end. But I was probably just as scared watching the guy at 8:01 as I was during any part of my 3 traverses. Slow and steady wins the race sometimes - take care 👍

One of the best Videos yet Charlie-fantastic footage of a Classic Route. Just for the benefit of other readers I had to effect an Emergency Descent from the Ridge just after The Chancellor Section a few years ago after turning an Ankle. Just to emphasise what all the Guidance says - do not try a Descent from the Ridge, once committed, until your reach The Terminus - it really is NOT recommended. I made it by the skin of my Teeth. The only consolation was the Lagavulin Whiskey in The Clachaig Inn and the fact that when I did get down it was dark and the Aurora was on display. I'll never forget it. This is the best Video I have ever seen of this Route - Stunning. Thanks again Charlie.....See you on the Next One !
