I been loving the growth of Gahyeon. She has been improving leaps and bounds. Going from being thrown to the spotlight to where she is now. I'm still recovery from the stage performance of Shatter. She's been my bias since the Piri era.

I was convinced it was Handong and Dami's era with some Siyeon and Yoohyeon sprinkled in cause they were so eyecatching. But then Siyeon went semi viral for her wolfcut. . I think practically everyone stood out. The concept and beat gave Siyeon and Dami a chance to shine in the choreo cause they are more hip hop oriented. Handong got more lines, Gahyeon and Yoohyeon really stood out with their vibrant hair, JiU and SuA got really catchy parts. It was just all around incredible.

Honestly its so hard to pick a favorite this album... Especially because the album feels so cohesive! I got this vibe from the third dystopia album as well. I think OOTD and Shatter because they are just masterpieces, but i love we are young and rising so much too. Hoping we get a live for we are young soon too. Im a Handong and Gahyeon bias, so i definitely feel like theyre shining this era. Last comeback, i remember from some of the radio shows it seemed like yoohyeon was working really hard on herself and she definitely had some tough parts in bon voyage album... I feel I'm noticing more stability on her part from that angle. Gahyeon and Handong felt like they really unlocked like... Their "dreamcatcher rock voice" this year. I know a lot of peoples voices dont fully "settle" until their thirties so its not surprising theyre developing more for their unique colors now. JiU also got some fantastic belting lines in Rising. We know she could do it, but for her to be belting in three different instances... It feels like she leveled up too. SuA kept her impressive performance from the last mini album going too. Siyeon... Is siyeon haha. This might just be ke reading too much into things, but i feel like she has been more proud of being the main vocalist lately and part of me wonders if thats also because of how hard everyone else has been working. Insomnia has been split on their feelings on this album, because its so different; personally i love it. Also, this isn't the first time theyve reinvented themselves as dreamcatcher: imagine how everyone felt when Scream and the Tree of Language album dropped after the nightmare series finished. Im glad you liked it too!

I feel like I would have liked to see more Dami moments. Her raps are good but don't grab me as much as last album, and she really only has a vocal moment in We Are Young... But I recognize the difficulty of all 7 members shining equally for every fan.

@@WatchingSundaysit is right now at least. A lot of people found the change in sound jarring and like they were losing their "dreamcatcher" vibe. I remember something similar in Maison era, and I've been told the same thing happened in scream era. I'm sure a lot of people will come around as their surprise fades, and those that don't... Well, I feel like you see this with any artist once they start experimenting more. Some people also felt like the lyrics were too "generic self hype" but... Hopefully they come around too as they actually read through the lyrics and consider the message. And I've seen some people suggest rising to reactors as the "real" dreamcatcher song too. I get what they mean but ultimately I think both OOTD and Shatter are stronger title track picks. Oh, JiU said Shatter was about Medusa - the choreo at the beginning has all the girls behind her using their arms to mimic snake hair! It was definitely surprising to me when I woke up to see what other people thought of the album... But in their defense, I would probably have been confused too if I hadn't looked up the lore they'd revealed with the mystery code previously. I'm loving the experimenting with new sounds they've been doing this album and the last one too. My personal theory is that, along with the ladies all renewing their contracts being a new era, the fact that one of their two main producers left due to an exclusive contract probably had an impact too. Better to experiment and try new ideas than try to do more of their standard sound but end up as "dreamcatcher but slightly less." I'm already excited to see what sound we get for the next album too.

Handong and Yoohyeon owned the era so much for me. 😭And Siyeon also just has an unhinged charisma that can't be ignored on stage so I feel like not saying she didn't "own an era" for all eras is just sacrilege and plain wrong. 😅

I usually drop favorite tracks into my Dreamcatcher playlist that my daughter and I listen to in the car. This time I have t got around to updating the playlist. This Album has become the playlist! Hard to pick a favorite this time. I wasn’t sure about OOTD at first but then realized my daughter and I were singing parts of it randomly throughout the week, it’s great.

For the last couple days my all my roommate has heard is BANGBANGBANGALANG I THINK I TURN INTO A STONE!!!! 😂 Shatter is my fav. The bridge KISS ME DARLING NOW sounds like Christmas and then immediately goes into my funeral 💀 And then to have the Medusa choreography and then they dramtically turn into stone mid sentence 🥵 Handong is absolutely 🔥scorching🔥 this era My ranking 1) Shatter 10/10 amazing, no gripes 2) OOTD 9.5/10 Love the deeper meaning as a fan but if a non fan heard it the lyrics are lacking/sounds superficial/takes a lot to explain the concept 3) Rising 8/10 Legend has it Siyeon is still saying RI RI RI RI RI RI RI... as we speak 😅 Wish there was more to the chorus 4) We Are Young 6/10 Sounds a bit too David Guetta circa 2010 it's a lil too referential without updating the sound
