hi! First of all thank you for this video, it helped me a lot! Secondly, at 0:32 you said to always add the acid to the water, never the other way around, but I was taking a practice test and the sample answer given is: "Use the buret to deliver 5.75 mL of 2.000 M HC2H3O2 to the 100 mL volumetric flask. Then add distilled water from the wash bottle to the flask (adding the last few drops with an eyedropper) until the volume of liquid in the flask is at the calibration mark." We were asked to dilute 2 M HC2H3O2. I wrote the other way around, saying the water should be added first, do you think I would lose points though?
@JeremyKrug
@JeremyKrug Год назад
The adding acid to water is a safety rule for concentrated acid. It doesn't really apply to dilute solutions. If the acetic acid is only 2.000 M, you'd be ok to add water to something that dilute.

Hi, I am really worried about the questions that are based on designing laboratory experiments and making analyses. Is this video enough to cover everything that might be asked with regards to that? Please reply.

I think that u should revisit this topic with past Qs. My teacher just went over the topic too quickly n tbh , i still have to struggle in experiment step qs even after watching this videos. As always, with love! Also , off topic - How many videos r u planning on uploadinv on ultimate review packet? Tbh , Mr.jesus way of teaching just doesn't click for me , so i didn't consider purchasing it , but if u ramp up the content load , then i will really purchase it.

Thanks for watching and for your comments! I'll be reworking all of the Ultimate Review Packet videos for AP Chem starting on July 1, so it wont' be in time for this year's exam, but it will for next year. As far as videos for laboratory questions, these are always a wild card. It hard to know what they'll ask, but knowing lab skills goes a long way for these. Check out these videos I made last year that are walkthroughs from last year's 'lab' FRQ: 2023 FRQ 1: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aDJ9Tnl26lI.htmlsi=uIA3NGSl-IVu16FJ 2023 FRQ 4: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4yjWZRIse-o.htmlsi=MgLHspAI_5elTTsI

I have a question, how do you dilute an acid when writing a frq?
@vaishlol
@vaishlol Год назад
Do you have any thoughts on what the frq topics will be? Thanks for these videos they’re so helpful!!
@JeremyKrug
@JeremyKrug Год назад
Based on past years, expect an equilibrium or acid-base question early on, with a barrage of just about everything on those long FRQ. They have been putting kinetics questions and PES on some of the short FRQ, but that's just a guess.
