In Part 1, we explore the meaning of the words "annotated" and "bibliography," paying special attention to the purposes of an annotated bib and its 3 main requirements.
You sir, are a savior to us struggling students. I can never repay you for the information I've learned from this video, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time and effort you went through to put it together.
Thank you so much! Since returning to college after decades away and missing learning how to do research in school. I have managed messily to write papers yet this is going to help tremendously! I can be organized as I write now!!
Gordon, congrats on your decision to return to college. Reach out via nkandy2010@gmail.com, let's make learning interesting. I will help you out on any academic issue
Thanks for explaining this the way you did. You weren't kidding when you said it's something simple turned complex, I watched all the parts and went "Wait, I've been doing this my whole life!" Thank you!
Sounds great! Glad to help. If you want to check the accuracy of your citations, I recommend CiteFast: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b2sPC8zFsl8.html
Just found this video. Thank you so much for making a series of videos about the annotated bibliography. My students this past semester have struggled so much with it, I wish I had known about this video earlier. Alas, I'll be sure to show my students next semester! :)

As a senior in college now having to do way more writing I have to say I LOVE THIS GUY. Out of every video on stuff I have seen his videos are ALWAYS so broken down. Anytime I have to write something I always look at his channel to see if he covered it because he truly explains to so you can actually understand it. Thank you for the videos sir. I am so happy that my COMM 300 professor gave us your channel last semester.
I’m working on finishing my history degree after a 7 year absence from college bc of health reasons. Do you think you could add some videos for history research formats? I really appreciate how you simplified everything.
Thank you a lot! I really love your teaching style. It is so simple but powerful. Your videos gave me a lot of hope. Wish you all the best and many thanks from Vietnam!

thank you, thank you, thank you! I was struggling as to what to do with my annotated bibliography and you definitely broke it down into simple understandable terms which I did not understand from my university professor. much appreciated.

I am here because my Lecturer gave an assignment on the subject and thank you so much because you just broke things down. You made it so simple to grasp in few minutes

I teach English Comp at a Technical College, and your videos in this series are impressive. When I imagined exactly how I would design a video lesson on the Annotated Bib, and what elements I would include (Latin Roots = Always Awesome), it was pretty much exactly the way you did it. I never thought I'd find what I really wanted on RU-vid, but you did it! So thank you very, very much. You made this Coronavirus "transition to virtual learning" a little bit easier.
I loved this! It was so simple. I just understood everything. And the style of your teaching, your voice! 🤩 This is what a student needs. Thank you so much!

I was about to give up on my English class. The teacher has not explained much and just sent us out into the wild to figure it on our own. I needed this so much. Thank you. You made it simple and I ready to ace this class.

In text citation: I know that it's a must to write the author name, but what should I do if I found out that the paper I'm going to annotate has more than 6 authors? How can I mention them in the Annotation Bibliography ?
Reiterating previous comments: "Thank you so much for the strep-by-step instructions." I am no longer fighting the "Beast of Annotated Bibliographies." With your in-depth videos, I am now "The Conqueror".
So, my professor, has us doing Annotated Bibliographies on "Criticism of Works we read". I keep seeing things that tell me an Annotated Bibliography is "notes on something" so how do I write notes about notes when their just criticisms? :/

Your videos are raising my confidence level! But, i started with the videos on Lit review, instead of this. You need to help further. Can you let us know the sequence to follow - which videos show we begin with? which videos should come last? Thanks in advance.
David Taylor, I'm rookie. I want to learn the art of writing research article such as Literature review, introduction & results & discussion. I need your videos that discuss these knowledge areas.
That's a great compliment. Thank you, Christopher! You may also be interested in these videos on the APA research paper: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-46RhPd-Jac0.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K3Dy2wX79jk.html
Thank you so much for your help!! although I have a wuestion, for my assignment (grade 11) I had to analyze a Song that a singer wrote and what the song means. In this assignment I gave a biography about Who the singer is, his background, his story, how he became famous, what the song means, the literary and poetic devices in it, and also had to add photos that i feel relate to the song. Now that i’m done that i’m expected to make an annotated Bibliography. But i don’t understand how to do that on a situation like this. am i citing the cites I got the information from and what more would there be to write about? pls help!
It's easy--you cite the sources you used in an annotated bibliography, but you also cite/annotate any other source that you found but didn't use directly. If the teacher gave you a number of sources to have, grab that many sources for your annotated bib.
@@peakdavid Thabk you so much for your help! that makes perfect sense. because I am doing an assignment on a singer and his lyrics, The cites I used are things like a biography for the singer and the lyrics, I’m not too sure of the author for the lyrics bc i just used genius lyrics, would i still site this?
We have some students who reside in a country where RU-vid is not accessible. Do you have this video (and others) on a different streaming platform? Thanks in advance for your help!

I really like your work. I like how you simplify stuff and relax the listener. I'm writing a paper on Nursing home patients not being let outside enough to be in the sunlight and fresh air. Although I am in good shape and I already have 6 of the 10 pages typed out. I need to hand in annotative bigliography very soon. Your videos are helping me to complete that project successfully. I think you very much for that.
Thank You So Much for making this video for all of us!!! Your down to earth way of simplifying the instructions relieved so much stress for me. I have watched your video twice and I have a question. I understand the reflection is something I do to make sure my source is legitimate and worth using. In my head, like you said? Is that right? Is the 3rd part where you say I write down quotes, facts, stats things, notes I keep for writing my paper or in my case, use in my power point? Thanks for your help.
