Apar Gupta is a lawyer who until recently served as the founding director at the Internet Freedom Foundation, a role where he led and supported various initiatives to promote digital freedom and safeguard fundamental rights, such as strategic litigation, policy and legislative engagements, civic literacy and online campaigns.
Some of Apar's notable achievements include appearing in constitutional challenges to website blocking, facial recognition technologies, surveillance reforms and malware, drafting the Indian Privacy Code Bill, and running the SaveTheInternet.in movement for net neutrality.
